Good god youtube. I think that the stupidest people who are on youtube are not the idiot spammers and ten year olds, but rather, the smart people. The smart ones gain a superiority complex from prolonged exposure to the site, and end up becoming jackasses.

For example, I saw one guy respond to a query regarding his video.

Query: How did you get him in your party?
Response: Clearly, you are very narrow minded, If you weren't you would fucking realize that (blahblahblah something about playing the game my own way) and I'll block you now.

Some people don't seem to fucking realize that there will be idiots everywhere. Being unable to take criticism, or even questions without retorting like this shows that, despite their vaunted intelligence above the idiotic masses, they themselves are just as ignorant and stupid as the people they look down upon.

I'd say the escapist can be pretty bad but there's a balance issue. It's that we have FAR too many liberals and not enough conservatives. That's it's only real flaw (and the one mod who suspended me and didn't have the balls to explain why when I filled out the form to complain about an unjust suspension).

Feh, I don't really see a problem with both sides being shown or not. For one we still tend to get both sides of the argument, even if there are more people on one side. Two, there's nothing you can really do about it. There might just be more Liberals than Conservatives(at least on the internet). Third, this is a gaming website. I enjoy the political discussions, but I still feel like we're doing something wrong.

The comments section on the website for my hometown newspaper almost always erupts in flame wars between middle aged women and retired old men who have nothing better to do. Getting into the opinion section is where the real fun starts.
