Honestly, I don't mind Youtube/Google redesigning their site. It's THEIR site. If they feel the need to make a change, they can do it.
My problem is they don't give us any warning. At all. Would that really be hard? A few days or weeks before they make the change, they post the message "We're changing Youtube's layout on the Nth." They don't seem to have any problems with the post "We're conducting site maintenance."
Or, they could set up the new layout as a beta site, and get user input before making it official. That way, we still get a warning, they still make their changes, and the new layout is more optimized to user, er, use.
