Okay, so I pretty much failed in interpreting what I wanted in my "Searching Revolutionary Game" topic. I forgot what I wanted in a game...FUN! So I will now tell you the things I'd like to have in a game:

1. The game should be playable only in current-gen consoles.
2. The game should be fun AND replayable. When a game's fun but not replayable, its not worth the full purchase.
3. The game should not have, or doesn't revolve heavily to online/multiplayer support.

So what game/s do you consider to fit all of the above categories, in your opinion?

Saint's Row 2, Oblivion, Fallout 3, GTA 4, Portal, Garry's Mod, Just Cause, and Assassin's Creed (and probably its sequel).

That's a good list. I'll just add Mass Effect to that list. It even has both a New Game Plus feature and Profile Bonuses (from Achievements)that carries over to each new character created on the same player profile.

I can't tell you any for the "next gen" as the next gen hasn't even been announced yet.

Current gen (and if you are going to argue, get fucked, we've had them all out for years now):

World of Goo (Wii/PC) - So much style, so much fun, awesome game.
Prototype (Multi) - Storyline isn't so replayable but its a good slaughter game.
Fallout 3 and Oblivion (Multi) - Great RPG goodness.
Modern Warfare (Multi) - Its CoD4, but so unlike CoD I don't even preface it anymore. Storyline is highly replayable.
Mass Effect (Multi) - More RPG sex.

I corrected my term. Thank you for telling me.

As a Wii owner I would only say -

Super Mario Galaxy (and hopefully the second will be)
No More Hero's
Metroid Prime 3
World of Goo
And thats all I know of for now.

Mercenaries 2. It's shallow as hell, but insanely good fun.

Where it not for the fact they refuse to fix the Trophy Bug (which pisses me off), I'd play it a lot more. As it stands, my time is given over to collecting Trophies on games that work (seriously, how can I have one BILLION dollars on the EA server and it won't give me the one Million dollar Trophy?).

Uncharted. Single player only, fun campaign, very nice graphics, and plenty of treasures/awards to get, not to mention unlockable costumes, modes (Slo-mo, fast-mo are both kind of cool), and weapons.

Gotta ask those that are interested in answering this question. Is Mass Effect better than Fallout 3 in your standards? I play Fallout 3 so I would like to know if Mass Effect would indulge my customizing-RPG-fix.

This. Im considering it for my Pc also since the escapist loves its Mass Effect, but its never really compared to anything.

I haven't played through Fallout 3 myself, but I have seen someone playing it for a while. I am not really attracted by the gameplay and atmosphere in the world. (almost) Having to use some sort of auto aim future, disrupting the flow of the game is not something I look for in a FPS (RPG).

Mass Effect on the other hand, I really liked. Most things were pretty colourful, especially compared to Fallout 3. Character interactions were interesting, and the story was told in a pretty good way. I liked the gameplay, because I could storm through things if I wanted, but also play it pretty tactical. Probably not as in depth as Fallout, but pretty close anyway.

Fallout has better items, armors and exploration
Mass Effect has Wrex, better dialogue by miles, a nice storyline, and really different but fun combat.

to the OP: Tried GTA:San Andreas? its older now but just too much fun.

Played it before. Its tons better than GTA 4. But now my taste for fun in sandbox games leans on more to Infamous and Prototype, which give more freedom and parkour.

What is Wrex in Mass Effect? Hmmm, seems that Mass Effect lacks the things I loved in Fallout 3. Maybe I'll pass until I see what Mass Effect 2 brings on the table.
