Searching for George Fan (PvZ main developer/creator) - anyone knows where's he off to?

A couple of years ago when EA bought PopCap, shortly afterwards PopCap fired +- 50 employees, including Plants versus Zombies (1) creator George Fan. But no matter how I search through search machines I cannot find anything recent about him (his LinkedIn seems hopelessly out of date).
Has he completely disappeared from the gaming industry? :s

Anyone got an idea?

He also stopped Tweeting shortly after he got laid off. In the game industry, that pretty much means you've left it.
