It's defiantly been the one of the better Season Finale, not as good as say 4 but the whole thing almost gave claustrophobia. The scene at the end is just made of win from ripping the mirror to the end. Though I kinda of wish that part of Can't Always get what you want played there.*sits and stares at the wall till season 7 starts up*.

It was epic sauce but the main thing that happens to house at the end was done better when it didn't really happen.
Yeah, but it was so cruel.
Come to think of it I am dissapoint of House,he was everybody's favorite loner. Now he's just Hugh Laurie to me,the House I knew and love is gone.

I get what you mean, however the whole point and direction this series was going for was his development as a character. It wouldn't have made sense if he went through all that and remained the same person.

I fully expected a mindfuck at the end, no real cliffhanger is what the hell.

I heard Hugh singed for 2 more seasons, 8 is a good number so I do hope they do not milk it after that.

i used to like house until this season. something about his character development this year just pisses me off. they made him as pathetic as everyone else around him.

While he was my favorite jerk, if you really watched his progression since season 1, you realized he was never happy - he truly was miserable as a misanthrope. So he's at a crossroad, does he lose some of that edginess for an attempt to be happy or does he remain miserable?

Throughout the show, I wouldn't say he is pathetic but he feels that way. Everyone around him has moved on, despite his attempts at being a functional being he feels too old, too jaded, too much time has passed, his only friends have stopped carrying him and have moved onto their own lives, so therefore he feels there is no point to life which is why there was always that risk of him going back on drugs. This season was a lot deeper than people give it credit for. The idea was character development through suffering and sacrifice, he gave up his own egocentric behavior and tried to make a connection with those around him, it was a subtle but dramatic change. He didn't want to be alone anymore, but he's burnt so many bridges he often felt hopeless and inadequate. He questioned whether it was worth being brilliant if he couldn't be happy?

In my opinion, his character development was beautifully crafted.

First season finale without a hallucination. I just realized that, House is changing - but is this for the better?

I think s1 didnt have a hallucination, its been a while.
Anyway I hope it is for the better; just bring back clinic duty really.

Well it kind of did or maybe it was the second last episode. When there was a flashback of House going through surgery, he almost died and he envisioned all those other patients in the future.

But I'm looking forward to the new season, the prospects of Cuddy doing another strip tease bodes well for me.

How did you feel about the episode though, you know the human elements in it?

The last few episodes have been really good. I'm really going to miss the House and Wilson interactions. Having them move in together was genius.

That being said, I hope this ending is real and not some hallucination. I know they said it was real, but it's hard to trust it. I can't wait for the next season to start. I love House!
