Have you ever got a game, started playing it, disliked it, and gave up? Then perhaps even years later you gave it another shot and ended up loving it?

This happened to me with quite a few games. Biggest example for me is likely Persona 2 Eternal Punishment. I got it around its original release date more than a decade ago, tried several times to get into it and just didn't like the combat. It collected dust on my shelf for eons.

Persona 3 came out which revived my interest in the series. I decided to give Persona 2 Eternal Punishment a good go and ended up absolutely loving the game. I'm supposed to be getting Innocent Sin for Christmas so I am excited to finally be playing that one as well.

Arcanum : Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

Man, i tried at least dozen times to play it in the past. I was always repulsed by weird UI, keystrokes (ESC, oh how much i hated you), unintuitive battle system. Now, years later, i think it surpasess Planescape:Torment in terms of depth.

Do i regret not falling in love with it earlier ? Not at all. Sometimes one just needs to grow up to appreciate something in a proper manner. ;)

sort of..for Mass effect

I played it through..but it really annoyed me with its technical issues I was having at the time, and I found it to be very "Narm" alot of the time

but going back to it, I realised how cool it really was, and its now one of my favorites

Have done this with a lot of games but most memorable was also mass effect. I remember getting lost with all the different levels and elevators on the citadel. But then came back to give it another ago once they had announced the sequel and the mass effect series is now one of my favourites of all time.
