I speak English, Spanish, some Japanese, and some German.

My favorite is English, though it's kinda cheating in this question because it's my native language, but I still favor it because it has such a rich vocabulary. While there are things in every language that just cannot be expressed in another language, English has the most of them, I think. It's just so vast and intriguing.

My second favorite is Japanese. The sounds and pronunciation are easy to listen to, the grammar is flexible and adaptable, and the kanji are so fascinating to explore and think about why such a kanji represents a sound or idea. As a native English speaker, where the alphabet only expresses sound and not meaning of words, this is a very interesting concept.

Though I also do like the other languages I can speak. Spanish goes great with music and is easy to learn, and German just sounds so awesome when you're angry or giving a rousing speech!

I speak french and portuguese very well, and I studied spanish and latin for three years. Out of those, portuguese has got to be my favourite since it's the one I slip into most often so it feels the most natural.

Then again, my actual favourite language has got to be Italian. I'm hoping I can learn it at some point, because it just sounds so beautiful.
Since I've watched anime, I know a tiny bit of japanese, and I did a year long course on it - but I wouldn't say I could speak it, and it isn't really my favourite, since I know if I actually spoke it my accent would probably butcher it.
