Speaking of that .gif. I'd rather people didn't start up the trend of posting it again. That's all I'm gonna say since it's christmas and I'm enough of a grinch as it is around this time of year. =P

I actually cant wait to meet Sky and Daystar at the next Escapism UK event Probably the summer one since I wont be stuck up north at Uni and can reach London easily. These legends, in the flesh. Whoa. Perhaps i should bring an offering of a thread derail for Daystar. For that must surely please him.

Mmmm there's a few but I'm terrible with names and ideally don't wanna repeat anyone who's already been named or will just turn into a circlejerk about the same people.

Blackrebelmaven I think name was? Twas the most consistently pleasant person in feminism threads and considering how those usually went, it's no small feat.

Lieju I think is name of the other, tends to make posts I find lulzy and corrected me in my sillyness twice without being a dousche about it.

It's not an auto ban, but it will get you an infraction if you're using it to make fun of EN, or agreeing that it's very accurate.

The .gif was made for satirical purposes, I get that. The problem is it's insulting to the user it's describing, and allowing people to post it is basically saying that bullying is okay.

Think about it: would you be okay with people posting a .gif in your threads that makes fun of you? It'd make me pretty upset IMO.

It caused commotion because for a while people were using it with no action against them. I had a conversation with another Mod (I'll admit I didn't speak to all of them, it's hard getting us all in one place at a moments notice) and we agreed that it was inflammatory, so I started handing out warnings to people using it or advocating it.

I'll admit it seems like we suddenly smacked down anyone and anything that used it. I may have been a bit harsh in the thread you're mentioning, but I was hoping it would send the message that using .gifs to make fun of people isn't okay, and it never should have been.

In addition, I'd also add Casual Shinji, Phasmal, Zachary Amaranth, TizzyTheTormentor and ertheking. I may not always agree with some of the stuff some of them say (although I do find myself agreeing more often than not), but they are a mixture of the most funny/insightful/calming/straight up good people on the forums. That I don't find myself regularly talking too anyway.
