[HEADING=1]Secrets of the Dwemer[/HEADING]
[HEADING=2]A Skyrim RP[/HEADING]

Each player starts in the silver blood inn in Markarth. You are their looking for a means of earning coin like bounties or some kind of work. When a opportunity presents itself...

A rather sketchy man enters the Inn and takes a seat at its back. The man claims to be a humble honest treasure hunter and offers coin to any one who can retrieve a special Relic. He claims the relic is of high historical value and would be highly valuable,as he claims. At first the group (the players) are unsure of the man...but couldn't pass up on the coin. From there each character may explore skyrim as they wish in search of clues as to the whereabouts of the relic. You all may partner up or go your own way, how you interact with other players is entirely up to you, but it must be based on your character's personality and political outlook (ex. a person with a imperial outlook is likely to not get along with a person with a storm cloak outlook which I will go in more detail shortly).

.Must PM the GM before entering
.GM and CoGMs voices are final
1 GM Clade-170
2 CoGM Captain Anon
3 CoGM Ruedyn

.No god moding

Any questions or input you may have Ill gladly take a look at it, just go ahead and post it down bellow.

If you are interested, please, feel free to PM me your sheet and Ill look over it and discuss with you your entry. We have a group you must be part of in order to participate in the RP. Ill send invite upon your request to join the RP.

Name: Hulgar

Gender:Male

Age:22

Race:Nord

Equipment: Fur armor, Steel Nordic gauntlets, Steel cuffed boots, Steel sword

Appearance: Hazel eyes, Long brown hair, rough beard, stands 5,7 usually his sword is sheathed on his back

this was the closest thing I can find relating to my character

skills:Hulgar is a very capable warrior, his skill with a sword is almost unmatched by any other man,He is also a excellent unarmed fighter capible of dishing out damage with his bare fists if need be.

Bio: Hulgar was raised by his dead beat father in Riften. Life for him growing up was not easy, and the Thief's Guild didn't make things much better, especially since his own father was in deep with them. One day he decides he had enough of his father's abuse and runs away. Not before of course saying farewell to his father with a good ol' swing to his jaw in public. After doing this Hulgar's life officially began. He wandered allover skyrim in search of adventure and fortune. He took any work he can find Mercenary work, Bounties, Odd jobs, even wood chopping. Every bit of coin he earned was earned honestly, deciding he didn't want to be like his father.

Personality: Hulgar can be a bit of a ass at times, but when you get past all that he can be a honorable friend and valuable ally in battle. He tends to take on his problems head on.

Political outlook: Stormcloak

Edit: We will begin when we have about 5-7 players accepted and I post the initial story.

Political outlook: Imperial- you are a supporter of the empires claim to skyrim
Stormcloak- Whether you support Ulfric or just plain wish for a
independent Skyrim you are a stormcloak
Neutral- you honestly couldn't care less either way

.... Yep, I'm still a Bethesda fanboy.

Name: Idreon

Gender: Male

Age: 26

Race: Argonian

Equipment: He wears a full set of thieves guild armor, without sleeves for freedom of movement, though he does wear a tan cloak that conceals his person, that falls down to his shins. His standard weapon is an ebony dagger, though he carries a quiver of glass arrows. Just doesn't carry a bow.

Appearance: Dark green scales, Idreon stands at 5'9 with a lean build. His eyes are a very light blue, and he has an X shaped scar over his heart. He has two horns small curved horns, with a red ribbon tied around his left one, and a few spikes jutting from his jaw.

Skills: Idreon is trained for getting where he doesn't belong unnoticed, and is trained in several ways to make that happen. Lock picking, picking pockets, swords and archery are all easy, though his mastery over illusion spells give him his greatest edge on opponents.

Bio: Idreon was born in the Imperial City, where he lived a normal enough life with his sister, never really feeling he fit in. His father was a member of the Thieves Guild, Idreon learned, and he trained him in the ways. His Father was forever paranoid that the Thalmor would invade again, that they'd all be crushed under their boot again. Idreon eventually left when he came of age, though his greatest regret was not taking his sister along. To this day he has no idea what became of her.
Idreon quickly realized he had no real training, and left for Riften to join the Thieves Guild. After a minor... trial, he joined up and began training further. Idreon learned several tricks of the trade, and was even quite skilled in many areas naturally. He was a decent guerrilla soldier, though he felt he needed something more. Then, on his travels, he met a Khajiit woman. His band were attacking a caravan she was on, and though she killed several of his bandit friends... Idreon was smitten. Knowing she hadn't seen his face, he 'found' her on the road, and offered to help her get to their destination. Since her husband/guard was slain by arrows, she was all but forced to accept. The two became great pals on the road, and even something more as the weeks became months... He was always vaguely suspicious how quickly she got over her last husband.
She turned out to be a mage, and taught Idreon some Illusion spells along the way. He picked it up quickly, and the two were happy... until a former Bandit friend showed up, reminding him of what he was. When she learned of who he truly was, she left in the night. Idreon tore off a bit of sleeve, from a robe she left behind, and tied it around one of his horns to remind himself of her. Perhaps one day she'll forgive him, and they'll reunite... Until then, he takes the odd job, wandering the land in search of money and a chance at meeting up with her again.

Personality: Outwardly, he's cold, sarcastic, and a bit abrasive and brash. He share's his guilds love of money, and offers his skills to the highest bidder. Despite these things, he's an intellectual with a heart of gold, always willing to protect the few who earn the honor of being called 'friend'. He tends to flirt a bit, usually unsuccessfully and half heartedly, though he doesn't with Khajiit women...
Idreon has a deep hatred for the Thalmor he refuses to talk about, and distrusts the Stormcloak who oppress his people. He likes a nice, fat, and somewhat stupid government, that cares for ALL citizens, not just Nords.

Political outlook: Imperial

You're Co-GM and using a character that breaks lore in half? 6'9 isn't a normal height, he'd have to be a mutant of some sort to have that. He's using nightingale armor, specifically for Nightingales, which means he'd have to be an extremely important member of the Thieves Guild, and Katana's are rare as balls, unless he's a Blade...

I'd point out that he's still using Nightingale gear, but that'd kind of prove the whole "Is a bit of a twat" thing, huh?

As for height, 6'9 is about the size one would expect an NBA player made of dreams to be. It's not a standard human height, if you want to make him tall... I'd say about 6'1, 6'3 at the most is fair. If you're so fond of the height, you could probably make him a High Elf, who CAN feasibly reach that height.

I certainly appreciate your intentions of making the RP fairer and more accordingly to the story Ruedyn, But I'm going to have to ask that in the event you don't see eye to eye with someone bring it to my attention and Ill talk to that person and see If I can figure things out and set things straight. Im not saying you did anything wrong, I just want to avoid tensions between players. The only reason I made Mr Anon here a co GM was because he was very supportive of this RP even when things looked gloomy as our last attempt never really had the chance to launch. And being coGM he has the authority to nominate one more coGM if he so wishes, that position can be yours if you simply cooperate with us and show that you can help run the RP effectively that goes for anyone who would like the last coGM position. I do not wish to have tension here in this RP, so whatever's going on...please...leave it at the door and just have fun dude.

Gladly, I admit I pretty much acted like an asshole to begin with. I'll act as 3rd Co-GM if you're fine with it. Although, most problems here seem personal, so I dunno =\

*sigh* look, I dont want to loose any one before we even start. And Im sure this little discussion has pushed away possible applicants. and as far as giving you the position, you clearly have a admirable intention of making things fair and realistic so I have no issue with it...but...its not me you need to convince. So work with him, show him you can run things effectively. Thats the best I can come up with to hopefully cause you two to get along. if you or Anon have a better solution then Id be glad to hear it. But for now eny further posting relating to this discussion will be directly PM to me, I do not want to see further posting relating to this any more on this thread. Id like to pute this ordeal behind us and encourage interested applicants to hereby post their sheets accordingly.

Yo.

Name: Umbra Rimph

Gender:Male

Age: Fifties

Race: Orsimer

Equipment: A special (read: lighter) set of Dwarven armor, crafted especially for him and his needs, but he is currently constructing a powered suit based off of some Dwarven designs he found, which amplifies magic energy poured into a spell.

Appearance: Umbra is rather wiry individual, at least for an Orc. He carries his jet black hair combed back tightly while tied in a short ponytail, making his noticeably high hairline even more noticeable. Umbra also has a beard, which is tied in a similar manner to the hair on top of his head. Like any orc, he has large canine teeth, but his are short and pointed rather than large and broad. He is much more slender than other male Orcs, and is weaker than most people in general.

Skills: He's a lover healer, not a fighter. He deals primarily in the Restoration field, but he dabbles in Illusion and Alteration for the sake of utility.

Bio: Born in Orsinium, he was captured a few years after his birth and taken to Cyrodill, where he was then sold to Gadave Andalor, a Dunmer mage and ancient scholar in Cheydinhal who wanted more time to dedicate to his Dwemer studies. The mage kept him as a house slave, requiring that Umbra cook his meals, clean his house, and other subservient acts unbecoming to an Orc. In addition to this, Gadave purposefully and methodically stunts Umbra's growth, taking a perverse delight in transforming the naturally dominant Orsimer into a creature "incapable of commanding respect, let alone demanding it". Over a period of roughly eighteen years, Umbra had completely taken over the domestic matters for Gadave, and he had even started to participate more and more in his master's research, often accompanying him on expeditions to visit Dwemer ruins or recover artifacts. During these expeditions, which Umbra relished, he never often had to engage in conflict, as Gadave was a very powerful mage and relished proving his massive combat superiority over the Orc. It was at times like these, when Umbra was able to see with his own eyes the glory of the ancient Dwemer civilization, and he started to study Gadave's works on the matter whenever he could. Sometimes, when he would be sent out to get something from a neighbor or the market, Umbra would carry one of his theses that he wrote and ask for advice, claiming it was a prospective apprentice who handed it to him in town. This proved to be a great way of being taught indirectly by Gadave, as the Dunmer purposefully taught Umbra as little of his scholarly works as possible. This continued for a fair while, with the Great War interrupting surprisingly little of their daily lives, simply adding more tension, paranoia, and making resources more scarce. In 4E 174, however, this all changed. The Imperial City was sacked, and Titus II joined forces with General Jonna to battle the Aldmeri Dominion within spitting distance of where Umbra had spent his last eighteen years. Like any respectable Dunmer mage, Gadave hightailed it back to Morrowind, entrapping Umbra in house in the process, because slavery was of questionable legality at that time and he didn't want to risk any of what happened over the last two decades coming back to him in any way. In the ensuing battle, Gadave's residence was blown open by a Bosmer fireball, badly burning and knocking out Umbra but also freeing him in the process. When he awoke, the forces of the Alderi Dominion were being pushed back, and the bodies of his townsfolk surrounded him. Umbra decided to hightail it north to Skyrim, away from the war and towards Dwemer ruins, in which remained pretty much the only occupation he knew.

Fast forwarding a quarter-century later, we find Umbra to be a fairly successful Dwemer scholar living in a (comfortable) shack between Markarth and Falkreath. He's written a few books and delved in a few ruins, in addition to grasping a good handle on the Restoration magics. He does this in part of his kinda docile and frail nature, but also because "It's easier to find someone who will kill for you than fix you, so why not provide the latter yourself?" He's also gotten in a few good fights over hot political topics, like the false Imperial/Stormcloak dichotomy and the Forsworn problem.

Personality: Umbra is of the opinion that everybody should stop killing each other and generally "just get along". In terms of current events, he's very much on the Imperial side of the Stormcloak Rebellion, believing Ulfric to have committed unprovoked regicide and hoping for unification of the Imperium, as that would better lead them in shaking off the shackles of the Second Aldmeri Dominion. He's well versed in past and current political maneuverings in order to properly defend his position in the Nordic homeland. He's also willing to forgive anyone, providing they treat the opportunity correctly.

Political Outlook: Neutral/Imperial, see moar above in Personality.

Political Outlook: Neutral/Imperial, see moar above in Personality.
hey man good to have a healer on the team, depending on what Clade and Ruedyn we'll either get a few more players and then start or start with the 4 we have

I think it would be a good Idea to start with what we have and still have about 4 more slots open. That way we go ahead and start this thing at long last and hopefully gain some more players later on. Assuming Ruedyn is still on board with us.

Well great, it would seem every ones in agreement. If any one wishes to edit their sheets at all do it as soon as possible, Id like to get a little more in depth with my characters bio so thats what Ill be doing.

I have an idea for a character for this venture, but the initial concept is ex-Thalmor. Would this be a problem?
