At least those things are practical, being able to transport myself and plenty of stuff. I mean, how else would I go to a LAN-party? Plus it goes fast enough that I can cruise all around Europe in a relatively small timespan.Souplex said:

OT: I feel that the price scared many people off, as people have bought much less useful products in the past, albeit for much cheaper than what you had to give up for one of those.

People remembered they could walk.
Walking is more versatile, free, has a longer "battery" life, is safer, healthier, and only marginally slower.
Also, yeah, the owner of the company drove off a cliff in one... Dying from the product you're selling will generally put a dent on your product's reputation...

I love them, especially the later ones with better turn controls and max speeds that replicate human run speeds instead of walk, but they're expensive. Luckily, Mission Bay has rentals.
