Bro, I used to think that CoD was totally the best game ever (my K/D is like 2.6 and I get a Chopper Gunner in every match I play which isn't much because I spend so much time having sexual intercourse with females and drinking assorted alcoholic beverages) but THIS GAME IS SO HARDCORE

So, like, you're Barbie, right? And there's no guns or killstreaks so that's pretty lame but you're Barbie. And there are these horses, kay? But they're not really cool horses (There's like no blood on them which is totes lame) but they're horses. And you have adventures and adventures are awesome. BUT WAIT! These aren't just any adventures. They're mystery adventures! You're solving mysteries. Dude, you're a detective just like FREAKING BATMAN. I know you want to be Batman.

So the next time you're not totally pwning some noobs in Halo or consuming alcohol by the gallon, totally play it. It's even better than MADDEN 13. I know that sounds hard to believe, but trust me bro. It's the best game ever.

Others have already said enough about the multiplayer scene. (Which was great back in the day, but has died down a bit recently).
For me, it's all about the story mode. It's probably the most emotionally satisfying story in any medium ever. You will laugh, you will cry, but most importantly, you'll learn something about yourself.
And that ending, I don't want to spoil anything, but man, I've never seen anything else like it.

All in all, it's a game that takes a bit of time and patience to get into, but well worth doing 10/10
