Senran Kagura breast'em-up finally announced in English!

For those like me, the good news keeps on coming this year!

After years of pleading by their international fans, Senran Kagura developer XSEED has finally resolved to brave the inevitable moaning of western critics jaded by abundant anime bosoms and associated lewdness.

For those who don't know already, Senran Kagura is a Dynasty Warriors style of game with an all-female cast of well endowed costume-transforming kunoichi heroines. Naturally it boasts a whole lot of slashing and jiggling, along with clothing destruction and humiliating finales for each of the end-of-level boss fights.

XSEED will deliver its busty beat'em-up in the form of a download-only 3DS title to North America in the fall of this year. An EU release date is expected to follow for some time in 2014.

Okay, so it's basically Dead or Alive: Side Scroller. Complete with suspiciously youthful looking but overtly sexualized anime characters. Classy.

Eh, not really much to say that hasn't already been said thousands of time. If anything, it's so over the top that it's kind of hard to bother with. Like Bayonetta with improbably well endowed twelve year olds.

I suspect that a downloadable 3DS title might just sneak under the radar anyway. Although I've been wrong before.

I thought Dragon's Crown was a bit dubious, but this? This is some of the most shameless pandering I've seen in a mainstream video game. Even if this is a good little beat-em-up I couldn't bring myself to buy it as I'd just feel like the worst person.

And why, why, why do they always have to look so young? It's already bad enough without you putting massive tits the size of beach balls on someone who looks about 10.

Hah! It should be no surprise that I watched this anime. It was actually somewhat decent. Though it was predicable that the "good" girls and "bad" girls would team up.

As for the game, I'm amazed at the level of jiggle. That's very impressive. No 3DS for me though.

Well, you might be in for a disappointment. As far as I can recall, there's rarely as much fuss about a game that has pretty much just one reason for playing it.

I think the weird thing is how we view this to other things, the game has no substance and is basically porn with a bit of game, so everyone is going to it FOR THE PORN PART, but recent dragons crown had A LOT of good things going for it, and frankly I only found the sorceress to be overtly sexualized but I haven't actually played the game so I can only judge so far, I don't expect porn to be bountiful in character development, I don't expect a joyous masterfully drawn game like dragons crown to stoop to the level of being able to make all the NPCs moan, once you rise above that shit you are NOT supposed to dip your toes in once in a while, stupid sexualization in a game with no substance? Meh, they are pathetic and it doesn't interest me, I'll watch a walkthrough if I'm that interested, but a game with a lot to go for, a lot of things to enjoy as a game, stooping to a sex sells level? Damn right I'm gonna be angry, you don't have to do that, you are VANILLAWARE, you have the skills to pay the bills, rather than a game needing tits and ass to break even with it's ridiculous sales figures needed or something so utterly crap that is has to appeal with all it's might to the sexually motivated.

While the simple fact that breasts do move means that it makes sense for some movement to occur in games when the female characters are wearing certain outfits, I cannot help but wonder why so many Japanese developers seem to be under the belief that they have a mind of their own and can move at will.

The game looks really, really bad even without the bizarre jiggle physics though.

I think that's more of a Western perception thing. In the same way that we see anime characters as Caucasian, but Japanese people would see them as Japanese.

In fact, it is. Drawn by a guy who is known to overexagerate his character designs in silly ways, but somehow it's a problem now when it wasn't in Muramasa for example (Just look at Raijin).
