I just moved to Saskatoon which is the second-most northern city in the provinces of Canada (Edmonton is the most northern BTW) and I'm looking forward to the -50 degree days that we're reported to get. Let's see if a dry -50 day is worse than the wet -20 days I got back home in Windsor, ON

Plus side? That's one of the biggest things stopping me from killing myself! The last thing I need is to be embarassed across the entire school like that, with people either pitying me or laughing at me.

Going to college. High school sucked as far as social life went, despite all my efforts to make it otherwise. Furthermore, I'm going to be living on residence, which means I get to hang out with friends (in this case, my roommates) on a more-than-once-every-few-months basis.

I'm intrigued now. Back in Leeds we have a pub crawl called the Otley Run, very popular with us students, and very very deadly to the unprepared. Usually done in fancy dress too, so I'll have to persuade my housemates to do it with a pirate theme if we're all back by then. Unlikely, but if we do I'll try and post photos here. Don't get your hopes up though, since semester doesn't start until the last week of the month...
