This is really just another thread for people to ***** about games they don't like for stupid reasons.

I'm going to agree with you here. Although Fallout 3 is an amazing game in my opinion, I don't like the fact that I can get my lockpicking skill to 100 by levelling up on monsters

CoD 5 seems like an especially pointless sequel now that they have made a direct sequel to CoD 4.

I disliked Halo 2, but Halo 3 is a good game,
Prime example of how opinions differ, I'd have put it the other way round then added halo wars shouldn't have been made (at least not for xbox). But anyway, I was more disappointed with Gears of War 2. I liked the first one but there seemed to be no difference between the games, even the plot sounded similar (at least from zp, never bothered pursuing it further).
that's why i always take his opinions with a grain of salt. usually i find he's too bull-headed to make any compensation for a game, even if he tries. i'll give him the benefit of the doubt since i'm not really a gamer, but i don't consider his opinion the almighty unflinching word of truth .

but it's like you said, opinions can differ quite so. for example, to speak a little more in my language: i think the mars volta is one of the most amazing bands in existence, but not many people i know who have heard them like them, even slightly.

as far as games, i've got a bad feeling about mario galaxy 2 (oh, and sunshine was BOOOOORRRIIIINNNG!!), the wii shouldn't have been the shitty child's toy that it morphed into, and i hope the conker game on xbox was as good or better as conker's bad fur day on the n64.

Name one level Fallout 3 excelled at over Oblivion. Just because you disagree in a vacuum doesn't devalue my argument, you haven't made one yet. If you're trying to be snotty or bratty, then you're doing fine.
I'm the one trying to sound snotty, that's rich. Here, a laundry list of areas FO3 is grossly superior in.
1) Environments. Oblivion's interiors were almost all the same. While this is acceptable for buildings, when the ruins and caves are almost all carbon copies, let alone there is only 1/4 the number of unique Oblivion maps to go with unique gate spawns is pathetic.
2) Story. FO3's main story isn't phenomenal, but it's not laughably horrendous like Oblivion.
3) Combat. FO3 actually has an interesting array of combat mechanics, where all the Oblivion default ones are horrible.
4) Most everything else. Level progression, atmosphere, degree of variety in side objectives(the Dark Brotherhood were the ONLY good side quests)

It astounds me, because so often people talk up Oblivion like it was amazing, without basing that on the out of the box version. FO3 out of the box was a million times better than Oblivion. If you compare the mod content, it's an unbalanced comparison, as FO3 hasn't had nearly as much time for great mods to come out, but there is still a handful. It's also a sign that there are less mods needed to fix outstanding game issues unlike how many were needed for Oblivion.

I always thought Fallout 3 was an enjoyable, ambient experience with a great deal of engrossing detail.
Oblivion I'd like to give a second chance, but my first impression was that of a generic fantasy epic inhabited by rigid personas who seemingly like to do nothing more than to talk of hostile crustaceans.

Generic prick #1: "well met"
Generic prick #2: "How about them MUD CRABS, I swear I saw a talking one"

You would think with all the gates opening and demons roaming around the countryside, the citizens of Tamriel would have a better conversation topic than crabs.
Also I wish people would pull me up and be like "you're the one that saved us all from certain doom" but all you hear is "I heard that the {blah de blah, insert object here} has been recovered}". Have they all been in a coma while I was fighting a demon, killing an evil Elven God and making myself the god of a realm?

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. Sorry, but Spyro went downhill from there. Plus, the games got buggier and buggier. The 3 Legend of Spyro games are OK, but still, not as good as the original Playstation games.

Call of Duty 5. Yeah, the Nazi Zombie game was fun, but that was the only good thing about the game (aside from, you know, being CoD3 with better graphics).
And not much better at that.

Halo 2 & 3.

Bring it on, fanboys!!!!
Well, now isn't that a little harsh? Halo 3's custom game multiplayer was the best to date.

Gears of War 2 1.5, because it changed so little, and the online still sucked..
QFT. Now get out.
First person i have found who said that...

For me it would be KOTOR 2. Sure it fixed things (having to run around a crowded city with your weapons sticking out), but it kinda killed the mystery of wondering what would Revan do after the end.

I'm with those who said that halo 2 and 3 should have never been made, but that may just be because I'm an antisocial jerk who doesn't like multiplayer games(with the exception of tf2).

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. This is crap. No thought was put into the creation of this game.

This may be off topic, but people keep trying to tell me that there were a bunch of sequels to Highlander. Some have even gone so far as to mock up screenshots and fake IMDb pages. It's crazy. Everybody knows there was only one. [/naivete]
