@Lambi: I'll never understand the mind of a Furry...

@BT: It is fun... But i don't think you could pull it off with your Avatar... All you really have to do is make your character wander in. Say they were lost and stumbled upon the group. That's what I did... with my Link avatar anyway.

@Fury: It's not really that complicated. We furries just like animals that are sort of human shaped, a.k.a. anthropomorphic animals. And not every furry is sexually attracted to them. Some of them just like the art. The ones that would like to f*** their brains out are called furverts.

Edit: I think it's time I went to sleep. Good night.

@BloodyThoughts: I'm overly modest because I severely lack self esteem. >.>

And what has the conversation switched to now? Catgirls?

@Lambi: G'night.

@Nukey: I'm planningg on making another RP after Destiny's pull is over. I think you might be interested. It's a Super Smash bros Brawl RP... It's probably been done before but... Yeah...

In the world of Brawl, the characters fought happy battles for amusement and fun. The days of Master hand and his brother Crazy hand and Bowser were over, and the subspace had been destroyed. Suddenly, mysterious bombings appear to be happening all over the brawl world. Each one leaving a tremendous scar on the areas, but also... A dark mineral that seems to be linked somehow to the subspace. All of a sudden, Bowser has returned once again and has made an odd threat. "Submit to my gloves or you will suffer the wrath of the subspace." At the same time, Meta knight seems to be up to his old tricks, and has even revived the Halbard. Now, a select few heroes from the Brawl World have been chosen to find Bowser and Meta Knight and put a stop to both of them. This time won't just be a brawl, it will be a war...

Well?

@Lambi/BT/Fury: If I may chip in my contribution to the discussion about Rainboq:

Rain's godmodding always been retconned, rewritten or corrected in the two RPs he and I are both in: Demigods and Space Opera. Particularly the latter, where he tried taking command of an entire battlefleet. The following is an excerpt from the Demigods usergroup chat:

James_Sunderland said:
That said, you are by far the single most problematic RP-er I have ever met.

I don't want to come across here as hostile or accusatory, but if you'll search through Demigods and Space Opera, you'll find that nobody needs as much GM-correcting, editing, retconning and warning as you do.
The two exceptions to BT's statement about turning his characters into Flora (whoever that is, not that I care) are his two characters in Demigods, whom I have promised to kill if he tries, no questions asked. I plan to kill at least one of them anyway.

@Fury: Being the resident RP consultant and the only person who does jack shit in the Regulars, I'd be happy to lend out some tips.

Firstly, I think there might be some issues regarding having everyone use a premade character, seeing as RP's are mainly based around character development, which isn't very easy to accomplish when the said characters don't speak a lick of English or aren't vaguely human in the slightest. It would be sorta like giving someone a rock, and telling them to develop a bound: it wouldn't be easy.

Secondly, you'd have to deal with a lot of fanboys joining, most of whom likely know far more about the series than you do and will be bickering amongst themselves about which PC would win in a fight. Not to mention, the fanboys (normally) aren't to bright and most likely not be able to keep up with the better, more seasoned writers who join. They'd also be prone to godmodding.

That being said, it's highly do-able, as you'd get a lot of people signing up with a plot already established. If you're lucky, you could get some real talent, if not...expect someone like Dragqueen.

I don't understand god modding, what makes a person want to make an all powerful being. There's no conflict, no emotions generally, and nothing to evolve into through the story progression, its so odd to me

@:Nukey. Well I could add something about a porta from subspace sucking people in and mutating them on the way down, giving them powers and such... But yeah, you're probably right about the fanboys, damn them, but that's a problem i'll have to deal with. If they act up, they're out.

@Lost: Godmodders play to win. Note I didn't use the term "RP". They don't really RP the way the rest of us do.

@Lost Play to win mentality usually. Even though an RP isn't something with a win condition, some posters are overly competitive.
EDIT: ^What he said.

@Lost In The Void: It's because people want to win, rather than make a story. >.>

@CounterAttack: I'd have to agree, Rain's kind of a nuisance about things like that, though I think he might just lack self-restraint more than anything else rather than being in it to win. :/

He's not a jerk or anything, truth be told, I talked to him during a brief period of depression and he snapped me out of it, though he might just get over the top while in game.

@Fury Is Me.: Then I'd think you're set.

@CA: Ugh, see and I've never RP'd to win. In my Bioshock RP both my characters died, in The Castle my guy was betrayed and could possibly be hanged for his crimes, I hate "winning" per sec because its not interesting at all

Seriously though, Western Archtypes? I need Two or three more

@Lost: I know what you mean. In my first ever RP my character was blown up about four pages after her introduction.

@Lost In The Void: I have to agree.

I've always liked playing the loser in someway, shape or form, but that's probably me just being a demented bastard who has too much fun torturing his PC's. :D

@LV: I know what you mean. Hell, in Lambi's MoP RP, I had my character vanish from existence.

Speaking of which, if the FF RP is coming back to life, I think I should already have a reserve in there. I think I'm the only one still left from the first time around.
