@Michi: Nice one. Though one thing that bugs me about the beam katana from No More Heroes is that I noted a metal cap on the end, thus preventing any thrust attacks from being employed. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.

@CA: If I recall correctly, there was a spike on the cap if any stabbing was necessary. However, I can't remember when Travis did any stabbing, but at least is was there just in case.

@Tiny: The thing about Star Wars lightsabers, though, is that they're a complete electrical circuit. You may not see it, but the blade's power actually travels up its length and back down to the hilt. A beam katana, however, doesn't appear to have that kind of distinction, unless the cap allows for a similar situation.

@Tiny: Lightsabers have a component in their inner workings that determines the length of the blade. This can be adjusted during construction to suit the needs of the Jedi.
