Steak stared element in the eyes.
"So what? You're gonna kill me?"
"For what you've done?" asked the phantom of element. "Absolutely."
"But for what? You honestly believe that I need to die, just for what I said?"
"Everyone does, Steak. But not just that. You murdered that poor guy."
"I didn't kill crap."
"You know what you did."
Steak gritted his teeth. "Fine, if that's what will make you feel better. But I'm not going down without a fight." He ran at element, raising his fist. He threw a punch at the man, which passed right through. "Dammit, ghost."
Element kicked Steak in the chest, cracking several ribs. He flew backwards into a wall, clutching his stomach. He managed to get to his feet with a growl. "You can't kill me." He pulled a pair of sunglasses from his pocket, intending to make his last words as punny as possible.
"You don't have the Heart."
Element stood there for a moment. "You know, that actually wasn't too bad."
"I know, ri-"
Element flew towards Steak, picking him up in the air. "For that, I'll make it quick." He seized both ends of the man and pulled. In a matter of seconds, element pulled him in half. His sline and intestines trailed out, and his legs fell, but he was still alive. Element then picked up a length of his lower intestine and wrapped it around his neck. He pulled with all of his ghostly might.
Steak choked out a few words. "Killing me- ack- won't stop the puns! It won't change what you- urk- think I did! I can still make jokes as a ghost!"
Element pulled harder. The guts snapped, and Steak fell to the floor again with a thud. The lyncher then started to stomp on Steak's head. He kept stomping, until there was nothing left but paste.
An orb of energry rose from Steak's body. It formed into a shape identical to that of his former body.
"You asked for it," element muttered.
"But in retrospect," Ghost-Steak said, "isn't my new life in the JIB going to be better than my old life?"
"...Perhaps."
"So really, you just made my life better."
"Fuck you."
"Thanks, bro!" Steak floated past element, laughing.
