Three is the maximum number of colours I'll allow, and that's pushing it. I won't take many people with three colours at their disposal.

And the thing about taking spells that originate from the planeswalker's 'home plane' is that by their nature planeswalkers visit many places and get used to many different ways of life. Take, for example, a character who grew up in the guild-dominant city-plane of Ravnica, but then visited Esper, a shard of Alara, before the Conflux. They would be able to draw on a fair amount of their spells from their home plane, but also a few from Esper, such as Tidehollow Strix or Etherium Sculptor. And then once they start getting into other places like Mirrodin or Zendikar, that provides even more choice to pick from.

I will, however, take into account the idea of planeswalkers choosing spells similar to their 'type'. Like, as you said, a vedalken could use a vedalken-themed list - probably blue or blue/white - but it really depends on where they're from. A Mirran vedalken would have a fair few artifact spells available.

But on the matter of types, I don't really want to restrict the characters too much, so I will allow a bit of leeway but nothing too extreme. I mean, you won't see an angel planeswalker using too many black-red hybrids like Avatar of Discord or Dread Slag. Also, no zombies. Largely because I hate them, but also because the planeswalker's spark only occurs in sentient races, and I doubt that zombies are sentient. Or independent, take your pick.
Okay.

Not really much more to add there, other than I like where this is going, and that I want to have some spare time, so I can be able to join.

All right, I've waited long enough.

[HEADING=1]You may have guessed from the delay that Hman is the next murder victim![/HEADING]

He PM'd me saying he was going to post a death, that's the only reason I was waiting, so...

[HEADING=1]Send those votes in![/HEADING]

@CA Ah, I'll have to start reading that wiki when I get the chance then. I know a lot more about playing the game, then the world and story and whatnot so some research is in order.

@Fragrance: You don't have to worry about the world, except for your character's home plane, anywhere they may have visited, and any special events in which they may have taken part. Story, also, is kinda unimportant because of the fictional world I invented - need to design maps for said world. Got a fair bit to do there... six continents, each with their own styles. But then, it's a small world, so the maps don't need to be huge, and I could do a few at a time depending on the plot.

Still working on the thread, BTW. Got the character sheet template pretty much done, along with about the first half of the whole thing. I may pause work on it to develop my Warhammer thread a bit more, just in case I want to start that one up in the future.

Oh, and one more thing (this may be a dead giveaway, but I figure why not tell people). The world is based on the MtG set I'm developing. Characters will obtain spells from the set as the thread progresses.

@Neo: Vote sent.

@Sky: Wheeeee... Seriously, though, what gives? I'm just sitting in front of my computer until something happens. This is not how I want to spend my last weekend before college! D:

@WarP: I have no idea. I'm usually not in here 'cause I always end up getting lynched when I am. xD

I swear it's the avatar... It's too innocent looking.

@WarP: Yours is iconic dude. :0

I do have a new one that I might use, it's just editing it to make it blond. =P I'm too lazy right now.

@Sky: Yeah, but I hate that it's the only distinguishing feature about me. I mean, I'm not gonna change it anytime soon (not like I can), but that's the only reason why people remember me. :p

Also, why do you always make your anime avatars blond? Is it also like a icon/trademark of yours?

@WarP: Kinda, yeah. =P I really like blond hair (Despite being a brunette myself =[).

I think it's just become a habit now. If it's not blond, no one will recognise me. :0

@Sky: Woah, woah, woah! You're... not blond? D:

Also, couldn't you just, I dunno, dye your hair?

@WarP: No, I ain't blond D: sad times.

I did dye it blond once.... I was so happy. But then my roots started to show, and my hair was already really dry from dying it so much before hand, so my mum said I should go back to brown. 'cause having blond hair and brown roots wouldn't look good at a job interview. ;-; Damn unemployed-ness.

@WarP: You don't want to dye brown hair blond. I've seen it, it doesn't work.

@Avatar: I would change mine, but I've become pretty much linked to the Phaneuf fail, so I'm probably in the same boat as WarP.

Votes: Still waiting for Pm0n3y, RBMidknight, Steakheart, SkyeNeko, Nukey, keelzbunny and James Joseph Emerald

@Avatar: I'm kinda in the same boat as Neo: the core of my avatar is the hooded figure, though I have thrown a few changes around recently via bare-bones animation. If I had the skill, patience and/or artistic talent I would expand on it. But I don't, so meh.

@Neo: Well, school is just starting [small](especially for me, college = Oh shi-)[/small], so I don't think a lot of people are paying attention to the Escapist, let alone Serial Killer. I say cut them a little bit of slack for now.

Also, for hair, it does work! I've seen it! A friend of mine dyed her hair blond when I first met her. Had me convinced for a year until she told me she was actually a brunet. It works, dammit!
