What a pathetic excuse for a spy. I'd almost call it a fake. Not almost I'm willing to put ten bucks on all the people listed as potential killers being wrong. Then again Lynch Pm0n3y first. If there was one person who's smart enough to off me this early and is still alive it would be him.

@Element: -Edited-
This is my first time participating in this game and I found very little information on what I was supposed to do.

@Zero: You might want to watch yourself. I realize element seemed harsh but that's no reason to pick a fight.

Mistakes were made. I don't think your info is purposely bad though. Just...be more careful with what you say and be sure to double check yourself from now on.

@Link: Yeah, I'm just more frustrated with myself than anything.
I thought that I did so well too. :/

I didn't realize this game was so damn serious. >_>

@Zero: I'll be honest, I didn't really see anything wrong with your info at first glance either. I mean, I didn't really pour over it since I don't have a lot invested in this round anymore but it looked like you had a solid attack for finding the killer.

Just take that known information and start from scratch before the killer gets his shot off. Come back with an updated list and no harm done.

I know it's frustrating...my first spy gig involved me getting yelled at for only asking questions about the killer's name. I had no idea it was wrong at the time but I just took it in stride and moved forward.

We're here to play the game and to help each other out. I doubt anyone will hold it against you for making a rookie mistake. Just do what you can to correct it and don't let it bug you. :)

@Link Several vets completely forgot about the rule when making the guide. Myself included in that list FTR. Therefore I wasn't nearly as annoyed as when Schizzy thought CA was Canadian and had me in two questions. I'm still pissed about the blind luck placed on that question.

@Zero Feel lucky I didn't get to read what you wrote before you edited it. Let's just say I'm not the type of person who you want to get in a fight with. I have a bad habit of ripping people to pieces and making them cry. On the other note there are some additional instructions for the spy's role in a GM's guide that Icarion didn't bother reading. They aren't included in the OP as it just makes the section seemed bloated and is better conveyed through PM.

@GNPZK: Erm...that would be a negative. Spy has asked the third question. The arbiter's powers are null now.

That was actually the reason I didn't get my third question off last round. I was HOPING whoever had the role would hear my request for action and bump somebody off. As it turns out, I would have just been better off asking the question since suicide kills ended up not happening.

It's a good check and balance system for the arbiter and it requires some thought for the spy. If all goes well and everyone is active then it isn't a problem. Otherwise...

@Link: I still think the Arbiter needs some work. The time limit isn't enough and can be easily circumvented by the Spy holding off on asking the third question.

@CA: Well from where I stand it seems fine to me. Honestly, most spies would just ask their three questions in the first three rounds under any other circumstances. The arbiter actually encourages the spy to back up and try to figure out how to inform the arbiter of the possible killer without really arousing suspicion.

I know that my biggest concern when sending out the message was the possibility that the arbiter had not been eliminated from suspicion by my questions. With the route I took there would have been no way for the arbiter to get that list under those circumstances unless someone decided to direct them to me. As I've later found out, the arbiter was among the initial recipients of the message and had the full power and discretion to act. Still, at the time it had me worried and added an extra level to my game plan.

Now, as I've said, my experience with the arbiter didn't go as I had hoped due to a lack of role activity that round. I don't think we can really know if the role is overpowered under the current rules until we get someone who will actually use it. I mean, the only time the power has even been invoked was that first round when Sam G. basically closed his eyes and nailed Omega to a dart board. We've put guards in place since then but haven't had a chance to test the limits.

I didn't know who the arbiter was and I wasn't comfortable asking around.
In hindsight, I probably should have sent messages out to people who I knew were innocent.
But with the mistakes that I was making, maybe it was better that I didn't.

Too late now though, I suppose.

I fixed the mistakes I found though, thanks Fragrance.

@Link: Perhaps the chief issues with the Arbiter's lack of use are that it's a one-shot weapon, and the user may not want to die if they miss, since the Arbiter dies as well to balance the numbers.

@CA I dunno, I mean the arbiter hasn't even used the power since the first time as far as I can tell so it's hard to say whether it's broken or not. So far, I'm with Link and I think it's fine as it is.

@Zero Yeah, no problem. I'm just glad I noticed and we're not gonna kill off Pmoney and Ynnek only to find out neither of them are the killer and wonder what the hell is going on. Posting your list and notes was a smart move though, so good work there. If it weren't for that we could be in trouble.

@Fragrance: Exactly. Not a lot of people would post their notes like that but it really saved our hides this time. Good catch.

@Zero: And good that you posted it. No harm no foul in my book. :p

@CA: Yeah, I've had that thought too. But honestly, what else are they doing in the game? I mean, around these parts death is cheap. If I were in a position to narrow down the list I would rather take that risk and miss as opposed to just sitting around and voting.

I know we've been conditioned to think that dying is a bad thing but in this case it really isn't. A good arbiter would be one willing to make the sacrifice even without the guarantee of the win. As I see it, they're losing their normal weak votes for one extremely strong one.

This round I've been able to see that there really isn't a huge difference between playing the game and not playing it. Dying doesn't take any of the enjoyment out of the experience (well...at least for me anyways).

I doubt anyone will really agree with my stance on this but whatever. Maybe I should try and get the arbiter role sometime...

Because clearly if one says their not the killer and the other doesn't say anything, then it's clearly the one who didn't say anything.
Clearly.

I must say however, the newfound attention in me is making me feel special.

Finally! Mr. Omega has returned to Murderville! Now let us see what has transpired!

@Edited spy list: Well, we seem to be getting closer to our suspect. Shame we couldn't have gotten this sooner. on that note...

@Sky: Sorry about your damn luck... fate can be cruel... *gives you a super-sweet cookie on way to JIB*

@Arbiter role: I'm still opposed to it, but I suppose after working, there's only one way to find out if it's going to work. Test it.

@Element: Ok, screw the references, screw the humor, I'm just going to come right out and say it:
you are an absolute tool.

@Omega:The spy has asked his/her third question. The Arbeiter's power is void.
