I think this is the first time the Arbiter victim has written a death. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one though.
The TV blared the final coverage of the countdown to the New Year as I quietly worked on my computer from my comfy leather arm chair. Some popular artist was giving a concert to help celebrate the festivities but the noise she had been producing was nothing more than grating to my ears. I quickly reached for a pair of headphones and sifted through my music library until I came across the perfect song.
This is the New Year
And I don?t feel any different
?Tell us about it Ben. Tell us about it.?
The house was completely empty excluding my anti-social body. I had been invited to several parties to whoop it up but I had declined. There was RPing to be done. I had fallen out of contact with a lot of my other allies in the Serial Killing racket because of my new found popularity on the boards. It had dawned on my quite quickly that I really had bitten off more than I could chew. Between trying to be helpful to everyone who had a question and my own writing I was trying to output, I had left very little time for myself to conjecture about the identity of the mysterious murderer this time around.
Life moved on though. It hadn?t seemed like anyone was really missing my presence and the mob had been swiftly moving to take out suspects. It all seemed like the world was turning normally on its axis without my direct intervention.
I sighed and happily took a sip of my gin. There?s a certain satisfaction to knowing that you have survived to see another rotation around the sun. Reflecting back on everything that happened over the last fifty-two weeks always put me in a warm and fuzzy mood.
One minute to go. The countdown would begin soon.
When I heard her voice over my tunes, I jumped.
?Enjoying the fireworks, Link??
10?9?8?
A million thoughts suddenly ran through my mind as I saw Red Sky standing in front of me. I had not expected any company for the evening and it was slightly concerning that she had snuck into my house without even ringing the doorbell. I turned to her while tearing off my headphones and asked the most pressing question in my mind.
?What are you doing here??
7?6?5?4?
The smile that she gave me was positively deranged. Something had obviously not been sitting right in her mind. A chill ran down my spine before the words even came out of her mouth. I suddenly knew that our celebration was going to be one for the ages.
?I?m here to stop you from murdering innocent people!?
I would have offered to take her coat had she given me a little more time to react or explain myself.
3?2...1?Happy New Year!
The impact of the explosion that tore through my home sent me flying backwards through the living room. Shrapnel embedded itself in my skin while my body soared through the air. I crashed hard on what remained of my carpet, dazed and dizzied by the sudden display. I hazily looked around the room, trying to see if there was anything left of the Arbiter.
There was not. She had taken the full brunt of the explosion and had been virtually vaporized.
I grew woozy. She had succeeded in killing her suspect. There was no way I would be long for the world after a shot like that.
?I just hope?my death?wasn?t arbitrary.?
I coughed some sort of fluid all over my hand. I assumed it was blood but at this point it was impossible for me to tell.
?Wow?those are terrible last words. Good thing no one heard them.?
I babbled incoherently for a few moments further before I succumbed to the darkness. Sky and I had rung in the New Year with Serial Killer style.
@CA: It's a fantasy RP, I have been working on creating a fantasy world for the past few days and I am nearing completion with it. As for my friend he is studying to be a professional editor and we have written stories together but other than that I don't think he has that much experience. He's helped me write the plot and story though so he knows my story quite well
@Neo: Yeah he's still in college tough and he is currently going to syracuse on a full scholarship (I think, he may be paying a little)but he's not a bad guy or anything. He's helped me with my grammar a whole lot but I don't even think he'd even consider himself a "Professional" I just like to call him that
@Jak23 That goes to a whole different world of hate that you don't even want to know about. Then again I distanced myself from the guy from basically the get go so it isn't even so much myself as other people who took the brunt of his bullshit.
@Axle Dragqueen was an immature, and incoherent fool. He was annoying but this guy was worse by virtue of the things that he lied about. I'm not just talking about his "professional" status of having "a novel published" either.
@Axle First it was my foot. Then it was the only time the Serial Killer Ban Hammer was swung. Then it was the escapist flattening his body with their Ban Hammer. Afterwards it was a fun day of Frisbee with his thin round corpse.
Man I just hope they weren't as bad as some of the people that are currently on this site that I dont like. I swear they just won't get banned and save me the displeasure of seeing their posts.
