@CA Yeah, I didn't get a Sorin either. I don't think anyone did at our event. I don't think I got any blue rares either. It's fine though, I don't really like too many of the DKA blue rares. Though I do want that UB lich. And yeah, I got 2 Thalias, one was a Foil that came with my Skirsdag Cultist. She's sick in my UW humans deck as well, she blows solar flare, GW tokens and UW tempo out of the water..

@Berenzen: Yeah... As I said, two guys got Sorins and one guy got two Elbruses... Elbrus is gonna go great in my WU EDH[footnote]Unless the EDH rules prevent Withengar from being in my deck, since he's black and my General is white/blue.[/footnote], along with a few others like Saving Grasp or Battleground Geist, maybe a Skillful Lunge and Artful Dodge in there as well to save my General (Geist of Saint Traft) from getting killed off more than he needs to be.

Elbrus plus Artful Dodge is a game-winning combination.

@CA you play Geist EDH? Nice, I'm running a Hanna Enchantment EDH. Some of the combos I pull off in that deck just make it ridiculous.

See if you can figure out the combo(es). It requires a solid foundation of knowledge of the rules, particularly pertaining to stacks.

@Berenzen: I don't understand that in the slightest. Makes no sense, even though I understand the rules and the stack and suchlike.

My EDH deck has yet to be tested... and I don't really do well when building decks. I don't know how to create complex combinations or anything like that.

@CA with those 3 enchantments on the field, you can do several things

First one:
1) Exile a creature with Parallax Wave
2) Exile Parallax wave with itself
3) Let the self-target resolve. LTB effect occurs, it comes back with 5 counters, due to own trigger.
4) Original return trigger occurs, but the original wave is gone, so it's countered. The creature is exiled permanently.

Second
1) Same first step
2) let the removal trigger resolve, now have the wave exile itself, LTB trigger occurs. It comes back with 5 fresh counters, along with the creature(s). Abuse with ETB effects.

Third
1) Exile 5 lands with Parallax Tide
2) In response to exiling those lands, exile Parallax Tide.
3) The lands are gone as a new Parallax Tide comes in.

Fourth
1) Exile 5 of your lands with PT
2) Let triggers resolve
3) Exile Parallax Tide with Parallax Wave. Enjoy 5 untapped lands and infinite mana to fuel yourself.


Also, if you want to test your deck, I recommend Cockatrice- it allows you to test out your deck online, without spending any extra money.

@CA Opalescence makes them creatures, making them vulnerable to Parallax Wave.

The stack sort of looks like this

Parallax wave Exiles itself-> Resolves, LTB effect goes on stack.

LTB effect triggers-> Because Parallax Wave exiled itself, it returns itself with the LTB trigger

Parallax Wave enters the Battlefield with 5 counters. Considered a new Parallax wave, so the LTB trigger doesn't affect the creatures exiled from the old Parallax wave

Creature(s) Exiled from original exile effect.

The others are just variations on them.
