The first column is the baseline from a recoil calculator on the web. I figured 1 pound gun weight would be a decent number for said baseline, just to get the worst the cartridge has to offer. The second column is calculated with the weight of your standard Barrett M82, and the third one used the weight from the Magnum Research BFR revolver chambered in 45/70, another hard hitting round. Looking at the stats, I do not wish to fire a 50 BMG in anything other than a rifle with an efficient muzzle brake and a decent amount of weight to it.
