"I can't believe that idiot James! Falling asleep on me in public like that, how embrassasing!" I thought to myself, stomping into my room and slamming the door. Not only was I trapped in this ridiculous game, I still had to put up with his stupidity!
Flopping down on the bed, I sighed and looked at the clock.
11:59 P.M
"Huh when did it get so late?" I thought, rolling over. Eyeing the TV in the corner, I idly wondered if that rumour I'd heard at dinner today had any truth to it.
"Stare into a TV at midnight and your soulmate shall appear... pfft, as if!" I laughed, chiding my foolishness.
12:00 A.M
My laughter died in my throat as the TV flickered to life. Nerves fluttering, I hesitantly stood up and approached the screen. A fuzzy image was playing.
That... that was me! I was my own soulmate? But how does that even work? Leaning even closer to the screen I failed to notice the door to the room opening behind me...
"Waaah! Hey don't scare me like that! W-wait, what are you doing? L-let go of me! No!
AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
