@DoPo: Oh my fucking god... I'm speechless.
You, the guy who I trusted the most, was the Commie... And Twintix was your Lawyer?! This means both of you were voting for me... I thought I was working with you but it turns out you were on her side the entire time.
HOW THE FUCK DIDN'T I DIE?!
I'm genuinely surprised I wasn't executed.
Sure, let me enlighten you:
The odds weren't in my favour - there was 6 non-suspects, 3 suspects - myself and my lawyer included. That means 7 votes distributed amongst 3 people - I already knew you were voting for her, so that's one, then 6 more, as well. Had me and her voted for you, you could have been executed however, I'd have been doomed at that point onwards. Best case scenario:
This cycle: we vote you out.
Next cycle: I kill one person.
That leaves us with 5 vs 2
Twintix gets voted out.
Next Cycle: I kill one more.
it's now 3 vs 1 - no possible way for a mistake then.
But that's
the best I could hope using safe bets. As I said - doomed.
Instead, I decided to gamble on a different strategy - let's get back a step first: the votes are stacked against us 7 against 3 suspects. However, I put my hope on what you and
Fractral both said - invalid votes are not uncommon. So there was the crux of my plan - with luck, we'd have had one non-vote - either missing to vote, giving one that's invalid (e.g.,
Caramel Frappe) or, best case scenario - they vote for a non-suspect. Whatever the case, I chanced on there being 6 votes distributed amongst the 3 suspects.
With that, things weren't impossible - me and
Twintix both voted for a non-suspect. Best case scenario - the misvote went to the person we voted for and they are executed. Next cycle I kill one more person and that brings us down to 5 non-suspects vs 3 suspects - much more manageable. But that's best case, what I was more hoping for was two votes are enough for a tie. It'd have to have been a 4-way tie between us, the suspects, and the non-suspect[footnote]or - better case, the misvote went to the person we voted for for a total of 3, and one of the suspects gets 3, for a 2-way tie increasing the chances the innocent gets executed to 50% as opposed to 25%.[/footnote].
Worse case scenario - you are executed. This wouldn't be much different than if we had voted for you.
Worse scenario yet -
Twintix is executed. Regrettable, but I'd have used that against you - claiming that you put up your Lawyer to say she wanted a long game to use as a bait in order to draw votes away from yourself. Hey, it could have bought be an extra round.
Worst case - I get executed myself. Eh - not really that bad - it's not like I threw the game.
As a matter of fact, I did ask out great and generous Friend GM what would have happened if me and
Twintix had voted for you - turns out the votes would have been a tie then.
