Let this stand as a warning for future rounds:

Ya'll are fooled too easily. One piece of "evidence" and you roll over.
In the end I wanted him dead too but Aerosteam was too sure and we needed both to be against him so I gave up after that.

I said it wasn't foolproof and it was suspicious no one had killed him yet...

BeerTent was on my suspected list, though I admit that he pretty far below kingofkumquats. I did mean what I said earlier though. If BeerTent was the Killer(and he turned out to be), then were fucked no matter what happened. Aero suspected kingofkumquats too much, so that vote was a lock. So all Beer had to do was vote for Aero, and the worst that could happen is a 3 way tie. Beer wasn't going down no matter what in that last cycle.

And as for what might have been:

There was a slight screw up in cycle one, and I got a Spy question answered before Beer offed me. Since I'm fairly meticulous when it comes to rules, I knew I wasn't supposed to have that information, so I didn't share it until I knew I wasn't going to be the victim, and... well, yeah...

The information I got? The Killer's user name had an "n" in it. I had to watch in frustration round after round as you all managed to almost perfectly keep an even ratio of people on my personal list and those that were not throughout the entire round. It also kept my communications restricted to mostly objective observations and rules-based deductions because my own suspicions would always be biased.

So I have to ask: did Armadox peg me with his role detection ability, or did Beer just get exceedingly lucky in that first cycle?

@Zeconte: .. . . Honestly didn't think anyone besides me, Aerosteam and possibly 1-2 old SK players could pull off an edited video. Sure we could 'try' editing live action video with the audio + motion and constant scrolling ... but, really now? Who would put forth the time into that? Apparently BeerTent was someone I definitely underestimated ..... never again though. Never again.
To be honest, I really, REALLY hated him doing that. That kind of evidence is just so sleazy and unfair to everyone playing the game. It's definitely something I, personally, would insta-kill someone for pulling if I were running a game like this.

And beyond that, I've got a fair bit of experience with Mafia and looking at people's claims and determining whether they're genuine or bullshit. Some people could fool me, but I know enough to trust my instinct that if something seems off, even slightly so, it's worth going after, and that was what I was trying to stress to everyone only to be ignored and dismissed. I have to admit, I pretty much gave up caring about the game after that for the most part.
I have to agree that I was annoyed with the whole idea of showing someone's inbox to prove that they had no role(even if this one turned out to be a clever sham). I would hate for a round to end because someone went a step further than this and demanded to see similar proof of someone else and then have everyone execute them because they refused. It just seems like it's going against the spirit of the game.

Of course, from now on I'll just discount any and all evidence of similar nature. There're just too many wizards in this group to not assume every presented communication is an elaborate illusion.

Can't help but feel cheated, to be honest. Seems like the Killer can always win by using scum tactics, like that time the Killer essentially had his girlfriend play the game for him.

@Beer: I hope you realize you can never use your videos ever again, even to show innocence. Though that's probably a good thing.

@FPLOON: Yes, yes they did apparently... lol

@Scars: And I greatly appreciated your honestly and good sportsmanship throughout, I'm sorry if I ruined the round for you by making you take more of a sideline.

@Caramel: eh.... killing beer tent, you would have had more votes against him, but he surprisingly wasn't targeted much beyond round 1. As for evidence... I think the next level of evidence would be live video ala fraps, or twitch or something, heh. Lets not do that...

Also... you would make the last two pictures portrait instead of landscape wouldn't you Caramel... :p *fiddles with his html*

@Aero: It's okay... I understand. *hugs* All that conviction... all that confidence...

So how does it work with next round and stuff? Decide it here and make a new thread or what? This being my first game here I'm not sure how you do things.

You did no such thing. That was all on Beer. *shakes fist*

And in any case it was kind of fun seeing if there was a way to steer the voting without actually using the information I had.

[HEADING=3]Oh! Also... send me PMs for favourite deathposts, I'm going to leave it open until 1PM UTC on July 28th (Tuesday)[/HEADING]

This will give Aero and KoK enough time to write deathposts if they like... (hopefully)

Also, for any not in the SK group, we'll be tweaking some of the rules I believe if you want to participate.

Finally, any of those wishing to join round 69 PM Beer Tent... we might as well get the list starting for that.

We will be moving to the SK Usergroup chat shortly (some stuff already has) this thread is really just chit chatting now and reading the deathposts that are still to come.

Well, GG guys. My suspicion turned out to be wrong, and I was only able to know at the conclusion of the game. Well played though to Beertent. All odds were stacked against you horribly and yet things just kept going perfectly for you. Bravo you magnificent bastard.

Also thought, since I enjoyed this so much, I'd run my own game of a similar but different game called "the resistance". If anyone is interested, it's over here http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.880157-The-Resistance-taking-up-signings-now#22150273

Maximum of 10 players though. Just a heads up.

@Scars It was pure luck, a roll of the dice, from what I believe. I really, really got lucky on that one.

@Fploon SSSHHH-Or I'll stuff ya in a barrel!! XD

@Zeconte I dunno, The 1st round I played, Gritch used doctored images, I figured I could do the same thing, only do something that people had never seen before. My initial plan was video while using emails back and fourth, but Zeconte caught me on that one. Those deleted PM's stay for WAY longer than 1 day, BTW. I don't know if you know, or you're fucking with me on that one, but I STILL have the initial PM's in my deleted box. Was it sleazy, and scummy? I'll agree to it, but I was hella desperate when I pulled my final trick. Good news for me, it worked... Bad news for you though.

@Aero Yep. I'm gonna be that guy that forever kills video. I might have another 100% method, but I'll be keeping that one under my mask. Nobody would believe me anyway. On the topic on how you were supposed to know it was doctored? I made a mistake in some of those videos, but I did take them down so you wouldn't analyze them closer later. I'll admit, I did pluck the heart-strings a bit on that one too with "I've done this before, You can trust me, Aero!!" But... With you, Revenant, and Zeconte on the table... The only way to win, was to lie. You especially, had me going to Dema and stating "Hey, Take this email, and put the murder out in exactly 3 hours."

@Caramel FUCKING LOST IT! Thank you for making that image. XD

@Crayver , @Revenant , @Demagogue It's my understanding I work and GM the next game. Got the text down, just need a funny image. (That picture I commissioned from Aeilis would be goddamn perfect right about now. >.<) and the correct format. Dema, could you invite me to that UG? Coz I dunno how those work. You should teach me.

Also just realized, I DM game 69. Oh my god.

Edit like... Something: I think I'm ready-ish for the next thread. I just need a mini-version of the image for this round to make it perfect. If someone wants to see what I've done, so I don't fuck it up, tell me, and I'll shoot it in a PM for you.

Alright, woke up late, but here it is anyway!

I closed the book with the kind of finality that suggested life would never be the same after reading this. The insights into human nature that these amazing characters would last a lifetime. It was a satisfying, if bittersweet feeling to be done with the greatest novel I had ever read. I sighed deeply and stood up for the first time in hours. My stomach rumbled, and I suddenly realized that I hadn't had anything to eat in like a week. I opened my door for the first time in ages. I smiled brightly. Hopefully there was someone around here I could discuss the book with. I got only a few steps down the corridor before a robot approached me. Aerostream's usually friendly-sh face was transformed into something that almost, but not quite, looked like the face of an angry human. I stopped and waved genially at the robot. "Morning. Or evening. I'm not really sure. What time is it?"
Aerostream seemed puzzled by this question. "Uh, 2:30 AM."
I wasn't too surprised. That book destroyed my sleep cycle. I probably looked like a wreck. "Well then, good morning it is. I was just heading down to get some food. Want to join me?" The question hung in the air awkwardly. I realized it was a stupid question halfway through. Why would a robot join me for food? God, I'm stupid sometimes. I decided to just blame the hunger and lack of sleep.
Aerostream looked uneasy. "Where have you been for the last week?"
"Oh, I was in my room reading Space Nazis from the Moon. Have you read that?"
Aerostream suddenly brightened considerably. "Yeah! Isn't it amazing? I really like that bit at the end where the Space Nazi scientist has a change of heart and blows up the entire country of Sweden!"
"Yeah!" I was excited that I had already found someone to converse with about this. "Fuck those Swedes, man."
"Right?"
"Or," I began to gush. "There was that amazing monologue that Winston Churchill VIIX gives as he's being lowered into the moon acid? Brilliant! I would have never looked at it like that!"
"Oh, yeah. I also really like President Michael Jordan dunking the head of Moon Goebbels while tearfully expressing that he loves the planet and his children. It's a really touching moment."
I teared up just remembering this moment, one of the emotional high points of the book.
There was an annoyed throat clearing sound from behind me. I whirled around to see BeerTent grinning sinisterly.
Aerostream's shoulders fell and his face darkened. "Right. That doesn't change anything. We know you killed everyone."
I blinked a few times. "What."
"Don't play dumb with us," BeerTent menaced.
Words failed me for a moment, and I just made a sound that sounded like Seth McFarlane choking on a hot dog while doing several of his voices at once.
BeerTent and Aerostream both grabbed one of my arms. "Now," BeerTent said smoothly. "We're gonna take a nice trip to the airlock." I suddenly remembered hearing the sound of the airlock a bunch of times. I hadn't thought anything of it, but now the sudden, terrifying realization that I was going to die in space for no reason hit me.
Aerostream was mumbling something along the lines of, "I can't believe that someone would sully the good name of Space Nazis like this."
"Guys, wait!" I shouted. Surprisingly they did. I was about to smile before I realized that we stopped because we were in front of the airlock. "How would I have killed everybody if I was in my room the entire time? It has to be one of you."
Aerostream looked doubtful. He turned towards BeerTent and turned back. "Nah, it's probably you." He kicked me in and the door slammed shut. I looked around desperately, for a few seconds, but it was for naught. Right before the airlock opened, I told myself to face my death with courage, just like General Vampire Bruce Lee. I held my breath and was jettisoned out into space. Everything after that is a gooey, death-y blur.

Trust me, I ain't going to do that shit... Then again, I never watch those videos in the first place, so there's that... :p
