Raven set the phone down and took off the blue medical gloves he wore. He unbuttoned his doctor's jacket and threw it across the room, then grabbed a bottle at random from a nearby table and took a mouthful. Coruba... always a nice taste.
Without warning, someone gripped his shoulder and whispered, "Ironic, isn't it? The saviour is the first to die."
Before Raven could do so much as speak, he blinked once, gasped for breath and fell forward to crash onto the floor, a blade in his back, piercing his heart. The figure disappeared into the shadows, but not before saying to himself, "Oh dear, I've made quite a mess."
