What I hope to do in another play through is be a genuine warrior monk! See if you get the gloves of the pugilist (found in the Ratway) disenchant them, put the enchantment on Daedric gloves, with the perk that adds glove defence to your unarmed damage, you can do amazing amounts of damage with yo fists, have fun boxing a dragon to death.
Second favorite character I had was with the classic Khajiit monk. Thing was, I made sure he never levelled up any skills. Well, he got progress towards the lock picking and light armor tree, but I always sent him to jail so he never actually leveled it up. Pretty much finished most of the game with him, because his play-style was really fast. He didn't need to pick up much in the way of equipment. I just wanted to see if it was possible to finish the game without ever levelling any of your skills.
Yep. You can. Punched my way through a bunch of Dragons and made Mirak and Harkon my punching bags.
Went for the vampire side in Dawnguard to get the unarmed upping ring. And he turned into a werewolf / vampire lord on occasion, but was rarely needed.
His finishing moves were all pretty awesome to watch, and in light of their wrestling style, I named him King...
Still, if you want him more powerful, the monk is a viable character, and pretty easy to make. Just get him some daedric gauntlets with the fortify unarmed enchantment and go to town. Strangely, the one armed dual-wield tree affects his unarmed combat.
