...I am super confused, did the spy get assassinated or did he drop out and get replaced? I thought it was the latter, and that we were still in the assassination phase...

Anyway, I guess I don't die in the night this cycle. Everybody has gotten my PM. I stand by it. Gritch is the lawyer, unless he's mad trolling. Vote for him or vote for me, but if you decide the latter get him next after you see I'm just a peon.

As for the second PM, I guess it's not a bad place to start if the spy didn't get to anybody after all, but since it wasn't the assassination cycle like I thought then SK didn't have to be online to assassinate me, so the list has shaky legs.

Edit: I wasn't sure if I should include this, because I'm sure that trusting in what I'm saying is a big enough pill to swallow, and it involves throwing a guy who's been a pretty affable buddy most of this game under the bus... but of all the players in the game, Jumbo Palace is the only one I know for sure who has been in communication with Grinch, besides me. He was online while Grinch spoke to me tonight, and when I sent him that first PM he got back to me and told me that Grinch had made him the same offer. I find that incredibly suspicious: what Grinch asked of me was hugely ambitious and risky. I am a new player, and he had to know that he couldn't have the full measure of my temperament. If I decided to turn him down, than I would doom him. It is true that with all the spy questions asked, he and SK'd have their back to the wall (although, I don't think he's interpreting the rule about when spies can ask questions correctly), and were therefore desperate, but would he really compound that risk by forwarding the same offer to another player, especially without knowing my response yet?

Jumbo also tried to gain my trust by spinning a story about how Shoggoth had approached him shortly before his assassination to warn Jumbo about Grinch... only to die before Jumbo had a chance to get to his PC and read the message. Yet, we had an agreement to share the spy list, and in the hours he had, and as of up to now, he has not shared that list with me. Would the spy go to him for help and *not* give him the list? How could he have helped the spy anyway, if he had no role as he'd previously told me? I suppose he could be the medic, but how would Shoggoth have figured that out? How did Shoggoth get a chance to ask for Jumbo's help before he was notified of his assassination? I think it's most likely that Jumbo was attempting to pacify me, make sure that, as one who knew of a direct link between himself and Grinch, that I didn't attempt to cast suspicion on him.

Granted, I could have been on the spy list, which is why he hasn't mentioned it to me. But if I were on the list, I don't know why he'd reveal that he'd had contact with the spy. After all, I could've been the SK testing his loyalty or some such. If I were listed as a suspect, I don't see why he'd respond to my PMs tonight at all.

Furthermore, I'm the one who blew the whistle on this deal. If Jumbo hasn't PMed anyone about this by *checks clock* 1:01 AM Central Time, then he hasn't tried to. That, I think, would speak volumes.

...To bring it back, my paranoia is dialed to 11 and my death is assured. Emotions are high... well, high-ish. My best judgement isn't on the table, and I could be jumping at shadows. But that is the name of the game. My pick for SK right now is Jumbo. Hang me, see I'm innocent, decide what you'll do with my judgement call.

Here is my suggestion for a costume:

Alright, priest, it's time to revive the Spy so he can tell us his list.

And uh, I think the gavan thing means that the necromancer took the spy power or something maybe? Idk.

Doesn't that mean that the Spy is no longer the Spy when he's brought back now? I'm a ConfuzzleJack.

Yep you are right. If indeed Necro used his/her ability, then the Necro will be the Spy.
However because the Ewok said he recieved a message from Batman [Jumbo Palace]......maybe Batman is also the Necro/Spy?
So yeah, Great Leader, I found your target. Please send a Clown Monster to strike back *evil smile*
But first you must vote who is The Great Leader I guess...

That looks pretty bad-ass...So would we wear the skulls in addition to our usual sentai suits?

The way how, at the end, you made Writer sound like a big reveal, at the same time mentioning you were following the orders of the Great Leader, this game's SK. I thought Writer might've been a euphemism for Lawyer.

I actually really enjoyed your death post, I just found that last line ambiguous.

Hang me if you doubt what I say. I don't mind, I don't have a role and it's the only method I have to give you all anything approaching actual evidence of what side I'm on.

Also... well, there's a reason he's "Jumbo", Batman's let himself go a little lately... [small](sorry)[/small]

I thought it was just a joke, to explain how in terms of the show, a replacement was brought in to cover for the original spy's back injury?

IDK

I've gotten some very interesting PMs over the night. Before I divulge them, though, I would like to hear from tf2godz about whether the Spy is going to be able to take up his role again should he be revived, because he could cut it down to the point of a single target.

I think I can clear up some of these rules:Tf2godz's post [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.941951-Serial-Killer-Round-79-Super-mega-fast-strong-ultra-amazing-force-GOGOV?page=7#23777080] in conjunction with his previous post [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.941951-Serial-Killer-Round-79-Super-mega-fast-strong-ultra-amazing-force-GOGOV?page=2#23770586] suggests that the Necromancer (the Sheriff) has used their ability to revive the Spy.
aka Space Sheriff Gavan

On to how the Necromancer role works. Note I've included edited the original rules on pg1 slightly by including the alternative names of the roles and highlighting certain sections for clarity.

[HEADING=2]The Necromancer[/HEADING]

The Necromancer (New Role) is similar to the Holy Spirit (Priest), for they may revive anyone who was executed by the players / murdered by the Homunculus (Killer). However, they cannot revive someone if they were killed by the Soul Reaper (Arbiter). Unlike the Holy Spirit (Priest) that is killed when reviving someone, the Necromancer does not die. Instead, he or she can control the role said player had for one cycle only. For example, if the Necromancer revives the Soul Reaper (Arbiter) - they may kill any player but carry the cons of a Soul Reaper too such as dying as a result. If the Necromancer revives the Vessel (Spy), he or she may ask the GM a question for that cycle only.

Once the Necromancer uses that person's ability, an announcement will be made and the Necromancer loses his / her power but will remain alive. If the Necromancer is killed by execution or murdered by the Homunculus(Killer) before activating their power, they lose their power even if revived by the Holy Spirit (Priest). The Necromancer cannot use their power during cycle 1, but may do so any cycle afterwards. The person the Necromancer revived does not get their role back either. For the first part highlighted in red there is no mention of when the The Necromancer may use the Spy's ability other than it has to be the cycle in which he revived the Spy. Presumably the The Necromancer can ask another question if not immediately then at the very beginning of the next cycle when the Spy would normally use their ability. It would technically be the first question the Necromancer had asked after all. This is of course on interpretation of the rules. The Necromancer is a new (and in my opinion completely broken) new role.

The second part highlighted in blue suggests after using this ability whoever is revived no longer has any ability. [user]Shoggoth[/user] is currently alive but has had his role of Spy removed.

TLDR; The The Necromancer revived the Spy ([user]Shoggoth2588[/user]). Shoggoth is currently alive and whoever the Necromancer is currently has his ability and can potentially ask/already has asked a question.

@tf2godz: Can we receive public confirmation that what I have stated here is accurate and can you clarify when exactly a Necromancer could potentially ask an extra Spy question?

So wait...what? Damn union doctors...My back is kind of a mess but...Hell, David Yates was in Power Rangers for years but only really performed as a ranger for a couple of seasons...am I suddenly David Yates? I don't have an issue with that though I do dispute rumors that I left to pursue a lead role in Big Bad Beetleborgs. Those rumors are completely unsubstantiated and those alleged photos are obviously mock-ups meant to tarnish my credibility.

Wait... You're a Big Bad Beetleborg?
As a kid they were actually my favorite. Even used to dance to the theme song and everything. But yeah you're alive man and without a role now. You get to vote again.

When I was a kid, my favorite was Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers but I would always check out Beetleborgs and VR Troopers. I really need to get the two later on DVD since I don't remember any of it being BAD...It was all good back in the day though I do recall Jay Leno being a genie in triple-B.

It's hard to remember any shows we watched as kids being bad. I'm not sure how well they would actually stack up without nostalgia. I do remember another favorite show of mine was Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystic_Knights_of_Tir_Na_Nog].

God that intro's making me all nostalgic now.
