Medal of Honour because (Thanks Yantzee) It has been going on longer the actual war it's set upon.

Mario and everything related to his fat little ass. I'm just sick of seeing him everywhere I go, That god forsaken movie was the last straw.

All of the football games. If you play those then chances are you play football anyway and therefore don't need it simulated on a TV screen. I hate seeing the same bloody teams play the same bloody game in a slightly different stadium.

1. Devil May Cry
2. Mario (of any and all types)
3. Legend of Zelda
4. Pokemon (soon there will be more games than there are colors/minerals)
5. Tomb Raider
6. Madden NFL. (the only diference between games is the names of the players)
7. Medal of Honor (4 was the best, and it should stay that way; no need in shaming the series with more WW2 crap)
8. Battlefield 2 mods (not really a game series....but really.....we need to move on)

I think GTA needs a total overhaul.
Either give us a Han Solo style space bounty hunter open universe or an historical Roman general out to conquer the world.
You mean Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter (sucked, actually) and Rome: Total War? Spartan: Total Warrior?

*Can someone tell me how to to the accent above the E?
For most English (qwerty?) keyboards it's alt gr(the one just to the right of the space bar, generally)+e. It works for all vowels. áéíóú.
It actually depends on your system. Windows generally requires some sort of ALT command, while with Mac you just hit ALT+E and then whatever letter you need to accent.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Please, for the love of God, stop making terrible platformers with stories that try to be epic but end up sounding like a 4 year old wrote them.

I beg you.

as much as i like final fantasy, the series kinda went downhill after ff9, but i just hope ff13 will be better than 10(which isnt saying much). Devil may cry was a great game, but 4 really ruined it(dmc 2 doesnt count because capcom redeemed themselves with dante's awakening).

With Final Fantasy, the argument is more that Square should just give up on RPGs in general, as we all know that the Final Fantasy games are just different RPGs entirely with the same name (except 7, which can rot in hell for all I care). I tend to agree, especially after 12, which was the most boring RPG I've ever played with the exception of Dragon Warrior 1 on the NES. 12's only redeeming factor is that it has the most entertaining Cid (Dr. Cid, not the other guy) to date, so you might as well just watch his cutscenes and leave it at that. Even so, I'll still give 13 a chance if I hear good things about it and if they drop the idiotic MMO style battles.

Megaman X either needs to get back to it's SNES roots or die. X 1, 2, and 3 were all awesome, and X4 was still ok for allowing Zero to be fully playable, but all the playstation games just felt slower and less intense than the SNES ones. Whether you agree with me on that or not, I'm sure you all feel that the series went downhill after X4. The Zero games might have been an interesting side series, but I have no ****ing idea what the story is supposed to be about and the new Zero looks terrible. Aside from that, the games still aren't as good as the SNES ones. Unless there's a sequel that combines the intensity and level design of the SNES games with the good features of the later games (extra armors, playable Zero, etc.) than I'm through with the series.

Sonic. I have nothing more to say there. You've all seen the new games coming out, and I haven't met a single person who still wants to defend them. I'd prefer that they just give Sonic to Nintendo, since he was more fun to play as in Brawl than any of his actual games since the Genesis, but that probably isn't going to happen.

Agreed on the Final Fantasy bit. #9 was the best game in that series, just edging out 6 for the lead, and I've played most all of them.

For all I care, Halo can go stick a white-hot poker up its own ass, right about where its head is (even though the series has officially ended, I believe, minus that Halo Wars game)... sure, the graphics look great if you've never owned or played Half-Life 2, but the shitty controls, supposed 'storyline'... no. Just... no.

Another one that I would like to remove from the silicon gene pool would be Madden... and (EDIT: most) sports games in general. After this many football games, with most all of them looking and playing nearly identical for their respective systems/eras, don't you think its time to stop milking this bastardized franchise and let it die off already?

Oh, and most any series that's been in existence for more than ten years. These include, but are not limited to: Street Fighter, Womb Tomb Raider, Metroid, and anything with Sonic or Mario in it... or both, for that matter. When Sonic went 3D, it pretty much went down the tubes from there on out... although I'm for The Dark Brotherhood before I call him a total old fart, if only because Bioware made it. THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!!... even if it's false >.> Hell, just add "Put Nintendo Out Of Business" up there ~.~

Now, having said those things, I'd like to add four series I want to see again (it was going to be 6, but Beyond Good and Evil is getting a sequel, and so is Parasite Eve *giggles insanely*):

1) Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath: mayhaps have come back (since he escaped the last time), and Stranger go globe trotting to take his slimy ass out ^-^

2) Riviera: The Promised Land: the best RPG created for the Game Boy Advance, and you didn't even go after a sequel of it? Shame on you, Atlus >.>

3) Desert/Jungle/Urban Strike: I don't count the PS1 "additions" in this because they both sucked ass. I'm talking old-school shoot-em-up mixed with blow-everything-to-kingdom-come sandbox gameplay & an open-ended storyline, which Desert Strike did well before Grand Theft Auto brought us car theft for gamers. And helicopters are way cooler than most any ground-bound vehicle. So why hasn't this been done (and done well) yet?

4) Where is the next actual System Shock sequel? You wouldn't have to use SHODAN per say... mayhaps she has a 'child' who goes berserk in a manner similar? Or even just remake the first two games and re-release them x-x

Finally...

WHEN WILL ATLUS BRING AN ENGLISH VERSION OF PERSONA 2: INNOCENT SIN TO THE WEST?? WHY DID YOU ONLY GIVE US HALF A FREAKING GAME?!

This isn't about series you hate and don't want to see more of; this is about series you like and don't want them to deteriorate.
In that case, I wish the 'Legend of Zelda' series had stopped after Majora's Mask. *sigh*

Let's see.. Well, I wish Castlevania had stopped before Dawn of Sorrow came out, but then I probably wouldn't have gotten Curse of Darkness.

I was thinking about wanting the Soul Calibur series to end, after the disappointment I got from SC4.. But I've still got the smallest amount of hope for 5. Whether or not that's a good thing, I don't know.

The way i see it, you are allowed to release a sequel if you ended the previous game planning for a sequel so you dont screw the story over or if you dont meet the this requirement a leap in technology that allows something new to be made is fine too.

Now for the bashing:
Devil may Cry. Since they just ruin the already weak story game after game and dont inovate any gameplay element.
Resident Evil. For remaking the same games over and over again(1,2,3,CV,0 and now 4 and 5)
Fallout spin offs, come on the main game had little to do with building armys of resistence against w/e it is this time, it was abt surviving against all ods in a wasteland, hope 3 delivers just that but one can only hope.
Sonic. As much as i loved the first few games and the first one for the dreamcast it has been going downhill for a long time, and they keep making then worst and more frequent.
God of War. One was great but bordering the repetitive, 2 was the same thing and even messed the story from the first one. the trailer for the new one was beyound pointless, no gameplay or story hints so I got mixed feelings.
Mario Sports/Party. There are just too many.
StarFox. Rare screwed this franshise on the gamecube, really sad after all the great titles they released for the 64.

I dont mind Series that dont have a main story like FFantasy, Fatal Frame, Zelda and Mario/Paper Mario as long as they keep the releases responsably or inovate at every new tittle or at least manage to make games of equal quality or greater quality.

I love metroid to death but i kinda agree that they should put Samus to rest or drasticaly reduce the number of releases, she has been working too much for the last 2 gens.
I can see all the others but no one is ending God of War prematurely or else the guilty party will feel my wraith.

It's my favourite series, but Final Fantasy needs to go - OR, go back to the golden age of FF7 8 and 9. Things haven't right in a long time. Stop pissing on my childhood!

Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Halo & Half life- yes Half life. Lets just have half life three and end it on a high note before we're on Half life 9 Episode 13, which features Gordon Freeman doing his weekly shop.

And of course, Mario. He's more than earned his rent, lets let the guy retire and live on an island somewhere

Sonic the Hedgehog. I love the original Sonic game for the Genesis and I really liked the updated ports of it for the Gameboy Advance and DS. I absolutely hate the 3-D versions that have been coming out though. Sonic works best as a 2-D super fast side-scrolling platformer. 3-D Sonic games are terrible and I'll never buy another one. I've already traded in the two 3-D Sonic games I've tried (Sonic and the Magic Rings and Sonic the Hedgehog for Xbox 360) and will never buy another 3-D Sonic game no matter what the reviews of it say. I know people who like the 3-D Sonic games and I must admit the newer ones look cool. I just personally find Sonic too hard to control in a 3-D environment.

Now this new Sonic RPG they are coming out with...should not happen. Sonic is about super fast pinball-esque action, not level grinding. What's up with this? This is exactly what I think you are talking about: a series that goes on so long that the original premise that made it great to begin with is lost or altered to the point that you can barely recognize it anymore.

I also have similar feelings about the Final Fantasy series. I prefer the 2-D, turn based versions to the 3-D versions with the hybrid battle systems. FF I is still my favorite Final Fantasy Game and I still play it on my DS Lite. I've actually traded in all of my FF games except FF I&II (on the same cartridge), and FF IV on DS as it looks so cool in the cut scenes yet still has the classic battle systems. I've played almost all of the other FF games (either bought or rented) except for FF X-2 (FFX was so terrible, I didn't bother with the sequel) and took all of them back. I love the cutscenes as they are the best looking in pretty much all of gaming, but I hate the hybrid fighting systems. The cutscenes in the FF games look awesome and if I could just see those in new games without having to put up with the gameplay (or if they'd go back to the original fighting system), I'd be happy to see the series continue. Maybe I'd rather just see more FF movies like "The Spirit Within" instead. I'll stick with the old school FF games thanks.

I agree. Now that consoles have online abilities, how about just letting players download the new rosters each year instead of coming out with new games in the same series that have new rosters and a couple of new gimmicks? Let's face it, there isn't much difference between Madden 09 and 08 really. The AI is supposed to be better in O9 but that's about it.

Oh Dear god, Final Fantasy please. After FF8 it really began to crash and burn. (btw technically the only FF game that had a direct sequal was FFX and that was FF X-2) Also, the Pokemon series. LET IT DIE ALREADY!!!

I'd say that Zelda has at least one more good run in it but Mario and Sonic doo need to retire. It deeply saddens me to watch some of my favorite childhood characters be ran constantly into the ground.

Final Fantasy 7

One of my favorite game stories ever has gotten so stretched out and beaten into sequels, it just needs to stop. The game was done when it first was released, even as much as I like the expansion on the plot, it was never needed.
Did you play the game through? That environmental fire sparking with Mako nonsense? That was a weak ending that was slapped together to get the game out. But I guess I can't deny your assessment that there has been a lot of FFVII spin offs. and Crisis Core was a piece of crappy game-play and a half (you level up when random spinners randomly hit a random number... bah)

Games I would not like to see another installment of:
Megaman
Halo
Doom
Spyro
Ratchet and Clank
Star Wars Anything
The Sims anything

I could go on for a while I'm sure.
