I just hate stupid ass ideas.
Apparently I'm conservative, but I'll call anyone out over what I think is retarded.
Especially republicans and their idea that abortions should be illegal.

1) A lower population keeps our standard of living high; Its hard to afford flat screen tv's when you have 9 babies to feed.
2) When you're motivated to change the government and law based on your religious ideas, then you should go to your own island and establish a theocracy there instead of trying to make one here.

But yes, the majority of Americans, and I'm sure the human population the world over, are complete morons, who watch MTV and spew gibberish. We seriously spent 5 days straight in my genetics class going over the answer to 1 question on the test (worth 8 points) and people still got it wrong. I just don't understand how you can't remember something when its been explained to you that many times! Ugh.

I would really like to be reassured that these sorts of people are a minority.

But anyway, for discussion, is America as misinformed as commonly depicted?
1:40 I'm here about... taxes. WE Didn't vote- Okay kid listen.. you are not old enough to vote nor worry about taxes.

People whine when athiests poke at religion in the least, but those same people cheer when this religious twits go ut and try to change the president, the law, the government, etc to better suit their desires and needs...

That whole video is comedy gold. Thankfully I think the protesters he interviewed were probably a minority. They mostly didn't even seem like bad people, just very scared and very ignorant really.

You think this is about religion? This is about personal freedoms and the impending collapse of our economy.

As a Canadian, yes.

I work at a hotel and you have no idea how many American customers will correct me that it's "soda", not "pop", and oh by the way do we take MasterCard up here?

Yes, sir, we have electricity, phone lines and banks up here too.
Man that's pretty funny because I live in Florida and we call it soda while people from up north (Michigan, Ohio, etc.) call it pop so it's not just country-to-country.

OP: These people are morons I can't even begin to express the depth of anger I feel toward these idiots, they're embarassing what is a country of mostly reasonable people. It seems like it's only stupid people who have the most to say and boy do they say it loudly.

Yes these people are the minority and also complete idiots. As a Republican and a christian i completly disagree with them. They think they know what is actully going on but they just hav no idea. I may be agianst some of Obama's reforms but not enough to go and call him hitler or the anti-christ

Has anyone noticed how America isn't free? How it's people protest to take right's away from other civilians? How stupid right republicans usualy are?
What the hell are you talking about? What rights are these protesters wanting to be taken away from other civilians?
Abortion (to name one of 3 i know about) It's a given right in many places around the world. It's the parents choice, not the whitehouse's, or the peoples, the parent's choice.
That's not what they're protesting...
It's one of several things they're protesting... did you not see that in the video?

*sighs*
People already have a negative mindset of america, I might as well, go take over a country myself to further solidify us as douche bags.

Seriously though, why do a few people count as all of America? When have like even a thousand people counted as the US population? We have 304,059,724 , the majority of these people are not the idiots in that video.
That's like looking at videos of a few British extremists protesting about their healthcare, would is be a big deal then? I think not.

Can we please lose this anti-American sentiment? I mean, my God people, some people does not mean all people.

*rolls eyes and walks away*

Just because one democrat wants to let animals vote doesn't mean they all do. Just because one protester wants to outlaw abortion doesn't mean they all do! This protest is about protecting our freedoms and our economy. People who base their judgement of the protest on some whackjob are the idiots.

I just realised how rather naive i am about America, up until I saw that video, I thought people of that ilk didnt exist, I was quite genuinely shocked by their utter, utter grrrhhh ahhhhhhhhh!! I cant think of a word! I dont want to say stupid because thats not quite it, but still the asumption of people that one thing allides it with another to THAT extent is beyond belief. Its like Americans lump socialism(which is childish prejudice anyway) in with Islam(and of course ISLAM IS EVIL, IF YOU ARE A MUSLIM YOU SHOULD JUMP IN A HOLE IN THE GROUND AND DIE!!!(i hope people realise that is ironic but I dont want a flame war over Islam). Dont Americans (and no im not 'lumping you all together')realise that the fundamentalist attitudes of a small minority of Muslims who they hate so much are very simular to their own?

This is a spit in the face to me, because I was just beginning to open my mind to the idea that Americans might actually be intelligent, empathetic people behind the laughable mess they call a government. I feel sorry for the soldiers who enlisted believing that they should protect these people.
Oh come off it. this video says fuck all about what America stands for, and if you're allowing a random youtube video to shape your beliefs about an entire country, then you're just as stupid and gullible as those protesters.

America has a volunteer army, obviously our soldiers feel that America and its people are worth protecting.
I see your points and I will not argue them, because I do not disagree. However, what do you feel America stands for? Can it stand for anything, with all of its internal conflict and opposing views?

Well I havent had TV in over a year so I haven't been watching the news lately but from what I can gather it's supposed to be about healthcare and abortion being covered by it and somehow Obama is Hitler in all of this? I'm not really sure the protesters seem to be hopping from one subject to another: the sinners, healthcare, Pelosi being a "Jezabel", president Kennedy, communist Russia. This seems to be a favorite tactic of protesters "Let's go in there totally uninformed and say 'Nazi' and 'Communist' and 'God' a lot and that will make us sound like we know what we're talking about".

I don't see why people are going ape-shit over socialized medicine, for a slight raise in taxes millions of poorer people can get medical treatment but these people seem more concerned with the Rapture and repenting than actually saying something about how a capitalist medical system is better than a socialized one.

I'd rather have internal conflict then go to one of the many places out there where I would be arrested or shot for having a different view.
