I would think Nintendo fans would be more annoyed with the same old titles being released on the WiiU all the time and lack of interesting IP. Yes you can love Mario, Zelda, Metroid and all the other "Mario +.......(enter sport)" games, but dont they want more? Something different?

SONY may lack iconic characters but who cares. I dont even own a PS3 and i think that if they can make that game good and fun then thats great. Only thing that could be a problem is cost, if it was a cheap downloadable game then it would be great. Full price release? Then a ripoff.

Oh you are absolutely right, we don't know enough about the game yet. I will say this, though, that system for KOs that they explained during the press conference sounds terrible. That part they should have copied from Smash Bros. Here's hoping it's just one of many game modes.

Also, welcome to the console wars. Everything is going according to plan.
I could be wrong but i think i rememeber reading somewhere that nintendo had copyrighted the idea of damage % going up and making it easier to knock you off. Like i said could very well be wrong but i swear i read that somewhere trustworthy. (possibly penny arcade?)

I agree. Heck, I even think the New Super Mario Bros. U Is just a way to sell units (Though it'll be good, no doubt about it). However, there are new things coming to the WiiU that aren't 're-releases', they're completely new IPs. Specifically, 'ZombiU', 'Project P-1000', and 'Tank! Tank! Tank!'.

OT: I don't care about this game, I think it is a rip-off. Plus, I've never been a Sony person. I had bad experiences with the PS1 and PS2, and I hardly do anything on the PS3. But if it is good for them, then it's good for them. If it's bad for them, oh well. I simply don't care.

In summation: grow up, stop trolling, stop being so insecure and try to react to something that doesn't affect you with the maturity that you should possess as an adult, gamer and/or person.
C'mon Dude. Welcome to the Internet. Hate is an efficient fuel source. Just ask any sith lord or Red Lantern. Without it, what can we use to power the growth of the Internet?

In all seriousness, I wish the Internet would stop hating for a bit, but that will never happen.

I resent the "X-box live troll" comment, it's all game specific not console specific, certain games attract that type of personality, I haven't played an online game in a while because of the community I always seem to come across, with the exception of the firefall beta.

OT: The game looks fun, I enjoyed smash bros. and even though Sony's version does have similarities it's not a rip-off. Like someone else said, Nintendo fans do get treated pretty poorly by the other console factions, they're allowed to blow off some steam for once.
I'm sorry to have offended you. I know that it's only a (very) vocal minority on the Xbox who embody the immature, manchild, everything-ist, stereotype and I could probably find similar behaviour on every platform and PC if I looked hard enough.

I agree that Nintendo fans receive to much hate over some things, but the response to this game wasn't blowing off steam. It was more like a child taking out it's anger on a completely unrelated child by punching him/her in the face and laughing. The point being, there is no excuse for this kind of the behaviour regardless of whose doing it.
That's quite alright, you do make a good point about their reaction. Most of my Nintendo play is on the DS and gameboy so I wouldn't really class myself as a decent representative of the Nintendo community. I really like the metaphor you used to describe the Nintendo outrage too.

I, for one, am really looking forward to this blatant rip-off. Dude, get over it, it actually is a rip-off. they took lots of things that made ssbb great, then inserted their own characters. And that's fine, because i really wanted to play ssbb, but refuse to buy a Wii.
