im sad to admit my friend put 2 discs in at once a while back, they didnt know what was wrong or causing the painful scratching noisejim_doki said:you know, while it seems stupid at first glance, we gotta remember the collossal amounts of retards that do exist in the word today. there would be a fair chance that someone, somewhere, keeps...putting the disc.... in upside down?
i'm sorry, i tried to justify this and i can't
They're putting returns back out as new? You should call the head office about that, then. I know that they do repackage returns as Open Box items with a 5-10% discount, depending on the item type. At least when I worked there (For three years, ending a year ago) they had no methods of repackaging a product as "New". As far as returns go, they take most products back within 30 days. They will ask why, because I can't tell you the number of TV returns I got because the person didn't know how to hook up the TV rather than the TV being defective.Khell_Sennet said:They repackage returns and sell them as "New", they mishandle and damage merchandise, returns are difficult going-on impossible, and every sale makes them more powerful.
You love Charlie ... I love Charlie ... We should all love Charlie.sammyfreak said:I wish they offered this service in Europe, those damn discs are so anoying.
I think this is probably the way most gamers (or, at least, PC gamers) are buy their games. It's hassle free, shtupid free, and cheaper.Shatners Bassoon said:Now with the purchase of Gamestation I have not purchased a game offline for a year. Sad state of affairs here.
Now, if I worked at Best Buy, I'd become corporate manager in a minute due to my great ideads... like hiring non-idiotic people.scoHish said:Actually, Im quite surprised anyone who works at Best Buy understands the complex art of pushing a flat object into a slot by themselves, let alone for other people. Best Buy is the only place I can think of, that I've met someone who seemed confused by the question:
"Where are the cameras?"
So anyway before i get too into corporate bashing, I'll simply say that I think its Best Buy's way of calling me stupid.
Please read what I said.Khell_Sennet said:Bad! No! No!... /rolled-up-newspaper
There is PLENTY wrong with BestBuy, with or without b-Tard interaction. They repackage returns and sell them as "New", they mishandle and damage merchandise, returns are difficult going-on impossible, and every sale makes them more powerful.
Not to mention, the price gouging... Futureshop is the original Canadian BestBuy, OWNED by BestBuy Inc and supplied from the same warehouse... I find Futureshop's prices to be lower than BestBuy's, and its the same damn company. Most recent example, Stargate SG1 10-season box set is $10 more at the BestBuy that is 3 city blocks from our west-end Futureshop.
I didn't mention games... nor is repackaging an issue when you're buying, oh I dunno, a T.V. Believe it or not, stores sell more than just video games.Credge said:There's nothing wrong with Best Buy as long as you don't interact with the people there. They have some pretty good prices on large merchandise (T.V's, sound stuff, etc). Just don't buy your cables there as they jack up the prices on them to cover the loss of the T.V. stuffs.
