Thoughts running through my head at the moment are that green thing came from one of your friends and they don't want to talk about it's 'origins'. My first guess would be someone wiped their nose on the carton and cut it, then during the aid of the other friend something happened leading to the reluctance to talk about it, but that's just a wild shot in the dark on my part.

And no, its not weird or paranoid to not want to eat something weird and green on a milk carton, its called common sense.
