It makes me LESS LIKELY to spend money, because I get insulted when women try to use their sexuality to get money from me, whether they are selling something or trying to get a bigger tip.

This is why I don't like going to Hooters and similar places. The majority of the waitresses would not talk to me if they didn't want something. If I want to see hot girls parade around in tight clothes, I'll go to a strip club where my big tip at least gets a lap dance in return

Thing I am most disgusted to see in Media now days is the fact that women are always shown to be weak sex-crazed whore.
What's weak about being a sex-crazed whore? Sex-crazed whores are routinely some of the most powerful women I've ever met.
Never said anything is wrong with being like that. I just hate when women a descripted in media like that. Specially since all the women around me aren't like that. I think this discussion will drop down to the valley of cultural relativism.
On moral perspective: I see women who use sex and sexuality as a tool to be immoral in a sense of how, Drug dealer uses the drug addict for he benefit. (Get my point?)
But this is my personal standing on this subject and I know I can not change world.
You basically evaded the point, which is that you are equating being sex-crazed with weakness, whereas a lot of people I know (both male and female) would see that overt sexuality in either gender = strength. It's always wrong to simply assume that because a woman is portrayed in a sexual position that she is a victim or being cruelly exploited. This is the case in some instances, but in many others a lot of women (and men) work very hard and make every effort to get into those positions of their own free will! I know this because I go out with a woman who does exactly this, takes it very seriously, and is certainly not on the losing end of any kind of power equation. In her photo shoots she has ALL the power, she decides everything and the photographers have to obey or GTFO.
And I am not allowed to be against behavior like this, why? You saying I am not allowed to condemn or condone behavior I for personal reasons don't like? You saying I am not allowed to voice my opinion about what I want to see in media?

I am sure they have lot of power in their hands, sure. But yet I think (in my opinion) people who uses those photos to sell something are using the beautiful female form to achieve attention of those who can be lured by this content. I believe in strong self control and not shading your mind with anything, in my life style there is no Alcohol, Drugs, Religion and extreme Self-control over sexuality and desires. I think everyone should try achieving a pure and clean vision of the world around them. And people who don't even try to, I do not respect.

Now tell me, am I entitled to have standing like this about this subject.
You're allowed to conduct your life in any way you wish. However what you should not do is generalise and make assumptions about the lives of others.

I'm not expecting you to approve of overt sexuality in advertising. I'm just saying that you shouldn't assume anything about the real lives and motivations of the people portrayed in those advertisements, because your assumptions are probably wrong in many cases.
I never mentioned anything about the lives of those models who give their bodies to be used as a bait for selling a car. The truth they are portrayed to be sex-crazed-whores, doesn't mean they are... Did I say that everyone who is portrayed to be something like that, is like that. Or everyone is general is like that?

I am not saying it is wrong to person answer the need of the market. I just find it questionable to women using sex as a tool against men to achieve her will. I am not saying everyone does. I know this dear friend of mine, Annie (name changed because I can't ask her permission to reveal her name). She has decided to achieve something great without using her physical appearance (sex appeal) as tool in any point. She dresses kinda like me, simple cloths, black shirt, pants and long black jacket... She is not the smartest, she considered to be beautiful by the standards of modern media. She doesn't want to use sex appeal as a tool. I respect that greatly (Due to personal reasons).

I like the ads with barely concealed breasts more than the ads that don't, but it doesn't influence my buying patterns.

Want it to go away? Well, first off, too bad because it isn't going anywhere. Sex does sell and it gets people's attention; both good and bad and that's exactly what advertisers are wanting to do. Get attention for their product.

The best thing to do in this case would be to simply stop paying attention to it. Sure, it can piss you off but really, there's nothing to be done about it. Sex sells. That's obviously true for most people as people like sex. If you don't, then don't go whining about it, just don't pay attention to it.

it annoys me more in music than in advertising, me and my friends have a simple rule, the more sexual the video the worse the music, it's an effective scale :)

I'm sick of it. Firstly, it's part of a culture that tells us all sorts of horrible things about sex, beauty and gender roles.

Secondly, it's become unbelievably tacky.

Thirdly, it's lazy. Think of something funny or clever, don't just stick nekked people in.
Always a welcome opinion to hear in such a topic.

While it would be a welcome opportunity to study broader and varying definitions of diversity and beauty via their presentation in the media, I somehow doubt ads have any intent of representing reality. Though I would feel more motivated to buy products that kept to being relevant and factual in their advertising.

Laziness abounds in pretty much all media and I don't recall ever hearing any sane claims that the popular way of doing something is ethical. Now, were the product or service being sold BE sex, I'd feel such advertising would be acceptable and appropriate.

Overall it's just kind of insulting to see poor quality advertising like this. As though they're trying to say that people are too dumb to look for the things they want or to understand a product or service being presented to them, so here's an irrelevant distraction while they try to pick your pockets.

Quick question, what does that actually get you other than a sense of superiority?
Well, I just like to live like that, control my body and mind as much as I can. you want something more? A noble cause? Something deep? There's no nirvana in it, you wont achieve enlightenment or anything else supernormal of nature.
I mainly do this to prove to people around me that, a Finnish person can remain sober and clear minded even with the pressure of traditions and culture. I been standing beacon of hope for those who have wanted to quit smoking or drinking, I been there for them when they want a sober friend to be with. I have told them if they ever need help, my phone is with me always and I answer it no matter what the clock is.

Is that enough of a reason?

And why self-control of sexuality? Well to prove that it indeed is possible to achieve.

Commercials in general are bad. It doesn't matter if they use sex or some other method, like showing a big juicy burger in a commercial. Commercials appeal to our senses and use false logic yet we get plastered by thousands of them a day.
