My favourite machine gun. [http://www.pof.gov.pk/products/images/LARGE/Machine-Gun-MG3.jpg]

Awesome [http://www.world.guns.ru/assault/hk417_20-1.jpg]

These are some of my favourite weapons, both performance-wise and look-wise. They're just that awesome.

Little David. 36 inch Caliber Mortar. Took two tank tractors to tow, one for the base with all the the other for the gun itself. It was designed to obliterate heavy fortifications.

One of the largest Caliber Artillery Pieces ever made. It was to be used in the invasion of Japan but the gun was still undergoing accuracy and range testing during the invasion and "swift" defeat.

Other than that, gotta love a Israeli Uzi.

The M16 for mid to long range, and the M4 for close quarter combat. The M-16 because it's one of the best weapons ever made and continues to be the best infantry rifle available. The M-4 because it has a shorter barrel better for close range fighting.
Wrong. The AK-47 is the best infantry rifle ever created. The M16(pre-overhaul) had massive jamming problems, cleaning it was a ***** and swapping out broken bolts or main springs was even harder. The AK has been a dependable treat-it-like-shit-and-it-fires weapon since day one. Plus the 7.62 (or.308 depending on model) versus the 5.56 or .223 is no contest. Kalashnikovs are more sought out than any other weapon in the world
Yes, it has a bigger round, and great reliability, but the M-16 has superior range, and accuracy. I'd take a M-16 any day because it can defeat the AK-47 any day in open areas where you need all the range and accuracy you can get. Also, the 6.8 mm Remington SPC might be the official round of the M-16/M4 later on. This round is very adaptable to current NATO 5.56 mm firearms. This will not only give current M16/M4 Firearms the near power of the AK, but it won't hurt the accuracy or range of them either. Assuming they just don't give the M-8 aka XM8 a go.

I dont agree with you on the M-16 and M-4. Both of them have massive problems. The M-16 was really poor until it's fourth Version(M16A4)and to the best of my knowledge the M4A1(Current version of the M-4 to the best of my knowledge) has quite a few problems with overheating and jamming. Anyway, isnt this meant to be a sexy gun thread, not a favorite gun thread?

I saw something on future weapons that caught my attention. An assault rifle that looks like a beefy M4 with a quick change barrel assembly which turns it into an extremely accurate sniper rifle and fires the 7.62 NATO round. I feel like the XM8 isn't as cost effective. That's what's so nice about the M4's and M16. Parts for them can be changed out for a load of different tasks and they are relatively cheap to manufacture.
