Sexual Fantasy vs. Sexual Morality

There was a time when the only real and acceptable form of sex would be your typical vanilla sex between a married man and woman that you see (if you're into voyeurism) in any king sized bed across the land. It's nice and fun and all, but with variety being the spice of life for whatever reason, it's quite obvious that the boundaries of what is sexually moral would get pushed over time, and that seems to have happened in recent times with a whole glut of examples, such as pornography, same-sex, gender-reassignment surgery, Unmarried (gasp.), sex competitions, and lest I say it, "deux femme, un coupe". At least some of these would scare off your average Joe or Jane, but with the intrinsic nature of sex being one that begs for newer and more intense experiences as good ol' vanilla sex may get a bit too...vanilla. Do you believe that we really should draw a line on what should be acceptable? Or what would be defined as acceptable to you anyway?

What 2 (or more :p ) constenting people of the appropriate age do in their own bedrooms is their business alone.

So in answer to your question; nope.

Why do I feel like eating ice-cream now? Anyway I think lines have to be drawn somewhere, for example to protect minors. But other than that, whatever people like to do is up to them.

I totally intended for this to be a more personal reflection rather than "What should everybody else do?"

I guess the nature of the topic isn't enough to hide behind the anonymity of the internets lol.

The only limitation should be that it is consentual. So long as it's consentual, it's all good.

Think about it like this...

Different kinds of sex were totally okay in the medieval age, an age considered barbaric and overly zealous with their religion. The time sex has been "vanilla" as they say has been significantly smaller than the time experiment in sex was accepted.

I mean, gays were totally fine for hundreds of years and now these day we're oppressing anyone different to the generic.

ALSO, no you can't force your beliefs on people, especially in the bedroom. It's private, everyone gets off on different things, as humans it's what we do. You can't repress being human.

That line would only make crossing it all the more desirable.
Well said. Then the only way to stay behind that line would be to somehow adopt a way of thinking that scoffs at what is deemed sexually immoral all the time, so I would believe.

I'm not saying SPECIFICALY you're repressing anyone, I'm just saying, people who think there HAS to be a line somewhere just like things different to other people.

If you have sex outside of marriage you are an adulterer. You're free to do it but that doesn't mean you should.

The usual line, as mentioned above, is that as long as the people are consenting adults, it's ok.

However, generally overlooked is the fact that pressure and/or actual force is commonly used to get people to "consent" to things they don't really want to do.

I've got a good example of the title.
Twilight fangirls.
Yes, we understand it's your fantasy to have good looking guys fighting over you, but trying to make that reality, idolising the actors, and taking your boyfriend to the film, is not a good idea. You should not make it the standard for your relationships.

Whatever you do is your business but you should be prepared to put up with the consequences (in the case of things like adultery, at least).

On the other hand, fantasies and fetishes are personal and no-one else should care about yours.

Absolutely not. Line = Bad. Shall I walk down the street in a perfectly ironed suit, refraining from swearing and only having sex after marriage and only if its in the process of having a child?

I say fuck that, lifes too short, no rules, no boundaries.

Go mad whilst your alive. Let the sheep do what they like.

I was looking forward to a discussion on the nature and morality of sexuality. I am disappointed to see that such a discussion is not the case.
