Sexual Partners

Here's a fun one to bring up on a video game forum... :)

I was talking to my girlfriend the other day about sexual partners, as she was telling me about some of her co-workers and discussions they'd had on the subject. She's over five years younger than me (She just turned 22, I'm turning 28 early next year) and including myself has had only 2 partners, while I've had 10 including her. It took her a while to get used to the idea when we started dating, but after talking to her co-workers (some of whom racked up over 30 in the space of 3 or 4 years!) she's a lot more happy with my number.

That got me thinking about how my number, 10 really puts me in a weird in-between, high for the "prudes", and low for the "sluts" (both for lack of better terms). I've got friends who are married to their one and only partner, and others who have long since forgotten the names of everyone they've slept with.

Numbers are weird things- kind of like a "experience level", but how good is it to have a high one? Or a low one for that matter? Not to mention the issue of women being "sluts" vs. men being "studs" when they have high numbers.

So yeah, let's open up the floor. Numbers, what's yours, what is your opinion on them, is a high number a deal-breaker, etc.

Yay! Not that it's for a lack of trying. I can't say I have strong opinions regarding either sluts or prudes. However many people they stuck it in/stuck inside them is their business.

1 full on sex. Another girl I fooled about with, so 1.5.

I'm 19 year old, for reference. Lost my v-card at 16.

Number probably isn't going to rise soon. But that's fine. As for people with significantly high numbers, good for them, as long as they're happy then there's no need to limit themselves

Why are you talking about previous partners with your girlfriend? This usually causes nothing but disaster.

I'm 25 and have only had 3 sexual partners in my life, and the first one was a one-time deal that uh... really wasn't good.

.5 for me, as I've messed around but never really got any further than that.

I sort of feel those people with high numbers are "dirty" in a way because sleeping with that many people has to have a good chance that at least one has been infected with something one way or another.

Same...And I think the number may have a big implication, but I would say it would have more so based on how often it was and for what reason. People think because I'm a nerd I must be a prude >_>

Its a nice even number, i wish to keep it that way, if i have to bed two women at a time to do so, then so be it.

I see a lot of people claiming to be a "Nerd" for having no partners, what do you Upgrade to when you reach 1 and 2? Or is it like Prestigue?

As for the number of partners, hell, that is none of my business, if you enjoy it and its what you want then by all means, fuck your brains out as much or as little as you please.

It's important to know where your partner is coming from, experience wise. If they've been in a lot of relationships, that tells you something, as does just being in a few. Honesty and communication are important parts of a relationship, as is understanding where your partner is coming from. I honestly think that NOT talking about it could be much more dangerous to a relationship than being up-front and open.

Three. Lost it at 13.

If a girl I like has had multiple partners, it doesn't really bother me. It just depends who they were.

I've had no sexual partners. You might almost say I'm saving myself at the moment until I find the right one for me. Not that I'll try to...you know...with that person as soon as I meet them. If they want to, I'll do it, but not until then.

I think a high number isn't a good thing. But if that's just the mates you've had, that makes it a bit more okay. If it's the number of people you've slept with just to sleep with them, then...yeah. Not good. I don't really know what I'd consider a high number.

None.

It took fooling around with several girls to realize I had relatively strong opinions on the subject. Left art school, joined the Army National Guard, studying to go into law enforcement. Go figure right?

I'm actually similar to you, though not at the same time. I've had 10-12 partners, but I lost my V-card at 19 a year and 4 months ago... I've never gone 2 months without sex since until now. I got depressed last sum mer after a break up and had a few one nighters, so that's the reason my number is so high, but I value a more personal form of sex instead of one nighters
