Sorry to disappoint those who came to the thread looking to berate someone for thinking that they're really, really, ridiculously good-looking.
Never good sir, perish the thought. I only came in to add to the thread topic: Clap your hands!

After a coin flip to decide what my next course of action should be.

Heads = Pursue an action.
Tails = Don't.

Ever feel nervous about something flip a coin and let it force you to make the decision.
Best philosophy ever, from now on if I'm in a tricky situation I'll flip a coin. To tell a girl I like her flip a coin and hope it's not heads.
I hope she thinks it's cool that you always flip a coin when you have to start doing it in front of her, Harvey.

Ha! was in a fairly similar situation. Went to a part of my suburb that I've never been, saw a cute girl at Gamestop (EB games over here) flipped a coin and it was heads... too bad she had a boyfriend *shrugs*

That moment when i think we may have woken someone else in the house after we... umm, nevermind.

Being out, dressed but not the best dressed... while my wife beside me IS.
It has only happened a couple times (pretty much not since our second child), but those evenings have been some of my fondest memories.

And lastly, my leather jacket. I've had it for years. Only get to wear it MAYBE twice a year (we live in god-forsaken Florida), but when I get to zip it up, I just can't help standing a bit straighter and walking a bit more confidently.

For me, it has to be buying a new outfit that you feel great in. Today I got a new dress and some precarious high-heels and I can't wait to show them off and strut around the place (if I actually can... walk, that is).
This coupled with when you see someone giving you a positive once over. CONFIDENCE BOOSTER ACTIVATED!

Nothing... I have low self esteem and there isn't a single thing that can be done about it...

Doing spontaneous ninja moves in my daily routine. (i.e. slipping through a closing door right before it closes, making a graceful recovery from almost falling down the stairs, etc.) its the simple things. :p

When I'm told I look like Nathan Fillion.

Oh boy, oh boy, that one's always great.
You lucky bastard.

OT: When I've just spent some time at the shooting range, and probably once I get my 1911 and carry permit.

Rather, this thread is to ask Escapists what makes them feel more confident than perhaps they usually would be? What gives you that extra boost that makes you strut around like one of the Bee Gees?
My Current Games project wherin I ended up being the project lead by doing the work in the space of a night a month before it was announced. Not to sound but arrogant but it still helps my cripplingly low self-esteem.

Stuff like that basically, also the prospect of getting a waistcoat.
you mean like this one?

...and delay.
Sorry couldn't help myself ^_^

Lots of stuff. A good night's sleep. The right shirt and jeans. Music (think AC/DC).
Workouts can also do it for me, especially a nice, hard run. Whenever I get back from PT in the mornings, and I slept well the night before, I'm just so ready. For anything. I feel like there's nothing I can't handle.

Also, swing dancing with a partner I "go" with, and pulling off all the moves I try, then ending the song with a princess dip (look it up). Very few things can make you feel more manly than being the only thing between a girl and a severe concussion.

The last time I remember feeling this good was when I had field work in Killarney National Park. Inland is always much more fun than coastal work, because its warmer and less windy. It was raining, but I had my full hiking gear, and during the day it dried up and became quite nice. The work was laughably easy so everyone felt good. After we got back to Cork city a few of us went for a much appreciated pint in a quiet little pub. My idea of a perfect Saturday.:).

When I get my hair cut with a toothed Straight-Razor, throw on my Aviator Glasses, my favorite Volcom V-neck T-Shirt, some worn yet true Slim Jeans and my Levi Shoes... Man do I feel Sexy as fuckEven though I'm thinner than a Tooth-Pick.. And then my aviators went a dicked themselves, so now I need to buy a new pair, they lasted for a cheap pair of $10 ones.

OR whenever I go shooting with the folks and pick up a Beretta M92FS, slip the 15-round magazine into the grip, thumb the slide release and enjoying the sweet, sweet slap of metal on metal as 9x19 Parabellum lead and copper death slide into the pipe ready to be fired forth in a blaze of fire and glory.
