I could go ahead and say that I like the 13th colossus(Phalanx)but while I think he's pretty damn badass, may favourite one would have to be one of the earlier ones. It was the 5th one I think, the flying one that you fight in the sunken ruins.

That's the one that always comes to my mind first when anyone asks me this question. Sure it's not as big as Phalanx but dammit I was pretty awestuck as I jumped onto its' wing as it swooped past, then it just took off into the sky and started flying around UPSIDE FUCKING DOWN!!!

But yeah 13 should have been the final boss.
Agreed. Never liked the last Colossi, not much fun to fight and looked like a demon cross dresser with the huge skirt.

I sort of liked the monkey with the big beard. Of course, I only got to the first water Collosi, then my fear of water took over.

I'm going to say my favorite was the colosseum gecko of DOOM. How many gigantic deadly geckos do you see in games? Not many.

The one tiger/dog in the ruins, where you had to run through the ruins while it broke everything apart, was another real good one. I had so much fun figuring out where to run next.

And the last favorite that I'm going to put down is the second to last. I spent so much time on that freaking ogre. I had to get help to figure out that I was supposed to shoot it's armpit with an arrow. That stumped me something fierce.

My least favorite was the giant crab thing in the field. Where you had to knock it over and get onto its back. I had a ***** of a time getting onto it. And it threw hard-to-avoid phlegm balls at me while I rode up to it. Not fun.

It's gotta be the Sky Serpent for me, tho the runner up would probably be The City Guardian, which is the small one that tries to ram you as you climb pillars and trick it. For that one I was crapping myself for the entire fight and I don't agree with Yahtzee when he says the small ones phone it in.

Like the previous smaller colossi I was seriously disappointed by that one. The game should have stuck to massive creatures, preferably getting bigger every time.

Yeah, that one was pretty fun. Terribly annoying to fall off of though, although I must assume that was the point of it all.

My favorite was the falcon. I loved that battle the best tho I never actually beat the game, I made it to the dog and then stopped.

That would be incredibly epic, as to the OT I'd have to actually play it again, it's been years.

The one with the beard. When I get really old, I'll grow a beard like that and get stabbed by a tiny, vengefull man I am trying to crush with my cane. Hey, at least it's better then dying because of a stroke or something.

Either the 3rd one with the huge-ass sword, or perhaps the fifth(?) one - the bird colossi on the lake that you had to clamber across its wings to get to. The giant flying snake was pretty awesome as well.

I loved all of the flying colossi, as well as the ones that were especially huge, even by the game's standards.

Incidentally, why do people keep confusing the singular and plural forms of Colossus? It's pretty simple; -us means singular, -i means plural. It's been that way for about 2,000 years. You'd think it'd sink in by now.

To be fair how often does the word pop up in conversation?

Uhhh, fuck, I dunno. I loved the ones that I've had the time to finish, but my all-time favourite's gotta be either the horse-lookin' one or the flying one. Probably the flying one a little more probably 'cause of the amount of times I yelled and cursed at the thing every time I fell off.
