It's definetly worth a look, or rent for that matter.
If you like these kind of games (especially Ico),
and consider yourself a collector: A must buy

I concur with all the praise for this game, it is truly amazing. And I've also bought ps2 games after buying a ps3 because there were some classic that I missed too. Luckily not this one, though.

I just bought it a couple of weeks ago. Its one of the best games I've ever played. There are a couple of minor faults but mostly its a truelly awesome experience.

I'm actually thinking of writing a review, but I hae a feeling the faults I have may cause some people to hunt me down and murder me. People really love that game.

I can't grab a cheap copy anywhere!! =[
I was lucky to find a cheap copy for £15 down at my local gamestation. I was lucky to find it, it was buried under a mountain of dart games.

I will say, its most deffinitly worth it, even if you have to fork out £20-£25 or something. If you don't rate graphics that highly, its certainly a lot better than any next gen game I've played for a the last year or two. Its still beautiful regardless of the pixel count or whatever. Best character design I've seen in any game...EVAR!

You'll also get a good number of hours out of it too. The boss battles are pretty fustrating puzzles, in some cases you'll spend maybe an hour or two trying to defeat one colossus. Once you know what t do its not that challenging, its the working out thats the hard part. I clocked 12 finishing the game, but judging by the number of times I had to turn off my PS2 in the middle of a boss battle, its probably about 15.

---------SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER--------------------------------------------------------------

newb questions: how do i make a spoiler box? what's the easiest way to get on the 4th bosses back? that 4 legged horselike thing next to the 4 hills? someone please pm me this. i do it this one way but it takes forever to setup and nail the landing. Also, what do the lizards that crawl around throughout the game do for you? i've killed them and i pick up what looks to be their tails and nothing happens. please and thanks!
To make the spoiler tags, just type
{spoiler}text here{/spoiler}
but replace the { with [ and the } with ].
Now, as for your question.
To get on top of the horses back just hide inside the tunnels and wait for a bit. He will eventually start to look for you. That is your chance to pop out of another tunnel and climb up his tail. Make your way up his back to his neck. You'll find a weak point there. Stab the weak point and he will lower his head, which will give you a clear shot to his magical weak point. As for the Geckos, the ones with the white tails increase your grip slightly, but the normal ones don't do anything I don't think. You'll find the white tailed ones around the shrines (save points). I hope that helps.

I picked this up about 2 weeks ago after looking for it for over a year. Found it for a few bucks at Circuit City during their clearance sales...

Wow, first boss fight was so cool looking that I kept standing still too long just to look at the beast. Needless to say, I took some pounding from that monster mace!

The visual and audio atmosphere is quite polished. Your horse feels completely real and I really liked that you could call it to you by shouting its name or whistling.

Luckily my old PS2 seems to be happy as a clam and plays the game great. Still can't believe the new PS3 isn't backwards compatible!!!
