And so Enters the Party Pooper:

I think I may be the only person who played this game and found it dull and repetitive. Oh sure, the visuals were great but to be honest, it felt like rush job version of myst which got schizophrenic attacks and decided to throw in boss fights. Although in retrospect that sounds kinda cool.

The last battle with the last colossus was also epic that it should be in one of the top of the most epic battles in gaming history.
Oh hell yes. If there were a top ten list, most of those places would be filled with SOTC.

Once upon a time I made a thread about how I felt SOTC was a little over rated and how I enjoyed it thoroughly but found a few aspects of it frustrating.

The ensuing barrage of abuse made it clear to me that yes, the majority of people do not find much, if any fault with this game.

It is a beautiful, soulful experience but let down by a few technical issues and in my opinion did not live up to the emotional impact of its predecessor Ico.

What is ico (although i don't need to play it now anyone heard of spoiler's) and Last guardian.
If the Prince of Persia were not a cross between Disney's Aladdin and an the dude from Fallout Boy, but instead were a young boy with mysterious horns on his head and had no one for company except a ghostly young girl whom he selflessly, silently guided through many perils and slowly but subtly fell in love with her, he would be Ico.

You're the reason why kids with horns are hated, for fear of them being bad luck.
Yes, I thought so too, but...

How did they leave? The bridge was the only connection between the World of Gods and Men

If you say its not as good as Ico, in a sense you are forgiven - in that sense it is merely a preference of one over the other. Say you don't like both, however, and you are barbaric heathen.

I thought the game had a fault once. Turns out that I had missed a mechanic that not only fixed my problem, but did it in a way that keeps immersion and yet makes it easier than any I've ever seen.
I loved Ico, evry second of it.

I won't spoil it here but the ending had me close to tears it was so beautiful. And by ending I mean the part when
Ico finds Yorda washed up on the beach after we thought she had died in the 'first' ending

While I also loved SOTC, and found it breathtakingly gorgeous to look at and listen to, I found a few of the play mechanics very frustrating.

Little niggly things got me annoyed, such as a couple of the boss battles having a few jumps that seemed a little at odds with the camera, the way your horse would spaz out upon encountering a foot high mouund of dirt or a tree root, the sometimes utterly misleading navigation system.

I also thought that the story of Ico and Yorda was just easier to relate to and empathise with.

You should anyway ^-^
The ending is as bittersweet as in Shadow of the Colossus and has a twist that takes you a second to realize, but then it hits you quite well

The navigation was the problem I had. I then found that every time you use your sword as a guide from a new position, it updates your map, positioning the next colossi in ever decreasing lines.
I got that too, and sometimes the lines pointed straight at walls and into areas that were dead ends, causing annoying backtracking. It turned out in those cases the correct oath was to go right around the area in a circle.

I think a large part of the ending is that it's left for you to interpret as you will. The horns I usually attribute to Dormin residual essence, but the relationship between Mono and Wander is left open-ended, and I think that's a good thing.

So, I guess the ending is what you make of it.

I didn't like it either.
