come on my friends, this game even made Doom pale in comparison. the melee combat is best i have seen in any FPS bar none.
It's less shit than a shit game? Not saying much. Shadow Warrior was freaking boring, janky, and obnoxious. I fail to see how this will be different.

Pre-emptive: And no slamming me on liking Star Fox Zero just cause of what the reviews say. I'm liking the game a lot, leave it at that. I'm not interested in hearing that it's not a "hardcore FPS so it sucks because of it"
No worries, I liked it too. It has some pretty glaring flaws, but I'm still having fun.

Which Doom? The one that's 19 years old or the new one that just got it's ass torn apart during it's Beta release? This game could very well blow Doom out of the water and still be a shit heap.

There's a good reason first person games rarely use melee combat; it's almost always lacklustre and messy. It's never nuanced, it's never fluid, it's a bad idea to even consider it as a primary gameplay mechanic. When Red Steel 2 is the best example of something, it's probably not worth doing.

Well, I see why B-Cell is so hyped. I can't say I share the hype, but if the game ends up as it looks on video, I'll be glad.

I would still try not to compare this to Doom since Doom multiplayer isn't representative of how single player will be like. Doom MP is developed by Certain Affinity.

The first one was great and it seems we have another winner here too.
First game was too linear because they didnot had much budget. now they have bigger budget and are making non linear maps.

Hopefully we will see Hard reset 2 in similar route after they done with SW2.

Well the sword still looks like a boring OP "spam LMB -> win game" weapon like it was last time, but it also looks like they actually bothered to make other weapons remotely worth using so I have at least some interest.

I'm going to be pedantic and point out that Paragon isn't first person and is barely a shooter (its more comparable to SMITE).

I personally don't care for the open world and the Borderlands style damage of this game don't get me wrong Shadow Warrior 2013 while fun was a flawed game but giving it all these aspects to Shadow Warrior isn't going to improve it, however the parkour aspect looks fun.

New gameplay footage without commentary. that Looks AMAZING!!

Im calling it now. Best FPS since Crysis 1 and Stalker SoC. first SW was great and this one even better and bigger.

That has to be God Mode. There's no healthbar, or really ANY HUD whatsoever. So that's a good sign.

The game looks great. The first one was fun, and this adds 4 player co-op, which is always nice; besides all the graphic improvements that make it look like a truly modern game. The previous one was flawed, but it had more personality than most games in the genre put together (even if it was 90s personality)...

It seems like the game got a lot more haters since the less than glowing review by Yahtzee.

I like the way this game looks, definitely, even though I don't like the look of those healthbars and damage numbers. I hope you can turn those off. But the combat looks solid as I expected it to be. Dope looking enemy designs too.

But come on B-Cell; we know, you can dial it back now.

I've always thought these types of games were SUPER boring as it's basically running around just murdering everything with minimal worries about those pesky tactics
Actually, you'd be surprised how tactical these kind of games get. There's a large element of resource conservation and trying to put yourself in optimal positions, evading attack patterns and the likes, in these large-swarms-of-enemies-twitch-shooters. Gameplay demos like this are usually captured on easy difficulty settings and that sort of masks it. That and it's very twitchy and skillbased, of course.
