That was pretty funny.
But what really amazed me was the size of WoW. I mean, i figured it would be big.
But that's just...sick. Overkill. Jesus. I mean...dude.
I really don't have any words left in my vocabulary.

For those who don't know: The whole thing with Hogger being in the stockades now is the result of Hogger becoming something of a meme. Before this, people were joking about Hogger becoming a level 85 raid boss. Without changing his loot table.
sad thing is....chances are that it would not stop a raid party from attacking him if it happened.
Well, on my server, there has been a couple of 40 level 1 raiding Hogger before cata.

Hey this episode of Shamus Plays was great! Significantly more funny than last weeks one and is really showing how Norman is becoming a more bitter and frustrated person. Gobstab, I feel, is becoming more benevolent and is showing some faint signs of guardianship towards Norman.

Well to be fair this just kind of follows the hilarious detachment of the Stormwind nobility from the common man. Clearly General Marcus could deal with Hogger; what does he care if he rampages about in the stockades? Gives the guards something to do. Builds character and all that.

After all when the Cataclysm struck Azeroth, devastating the lands of his allies the dwarves and bringing misery to his own subjects what did King Varian do?

He made a bunch of additions to his Keep and erected a nice big statue of himself at the front.

So there's a considerable number of future Shamus Plays if we're only now on zone #2 of 3-4. Great!

Also, whenever I hear "Westfall" I think of one of the developers of Archon [http://www.dadgum.com/halcyon/BOOK/FREEFALL.HTM].

Dammit Shamus. It's because of you I download the trial!

Now I'm starting to see how people can get hooked.

Three or four zones?! YAAAAAY! This means I can expect this series to continue on at least a little while longer! This, along with the news of my classes being canceled today, are great for me to wake up to and then go back to bed with!

Nice one! :D
ya i know what you mean, but at the same time it's almost too bad that he's not going to play through the whole game. i mean, i know this would take 100s if not 1000s of episodes to do, and probably a good few years to write the material, but it's be great to see this story go for a while. It could be I like this one so much is because this is the only game he's done so far that i've actually played, so another series could be just as good.

Great stories. I know the only way the whole role playing thing would work is if you picked warlock but they are just about the least fun class to level up. Particularly at low levels. Anyway keep up the good work!

Mage backup dancers. Shamus, you kill me. BTW, don't know if you know, but the whole Hogger was quite the shit in the pre-Cataclysm days. A fairly difficult low-level quest. And you actually got to kill him.

Norman's frustration is palpable! I wonder how much the quests have altered in Westfall since Cataclysm; I haven't been back to check. I started playing WoW for the first time in July, so i'm glad I got to see the old version before Deathwing arrived. The new cut scenes are a fun addition, but it is true that the dialogue bubbles over-lap at times - I tend to just look at the chat box. Anyway, looking forward to more from Gobstab and Norman :)

Gnolls are indeed Hyena-men (Quillboars are the pigs.) So for Norman to continue his war, a trip to the Horde area may be in order.

Yes! The new CSI: Westfall quests! I'm not sure how you'll make fun of their ridiculous awesomeness, but it should be entertaining even if you play it straight.

Blood elves enslave gnomes to make there threads and clothes, Trolls use their captives for training, foresaken use prisoners as guinea pigs for exeriments, orcs just kill their prisoners, and goblins would find 15 different ways to make money from their captives.

What do humans do? Put strong monsters in their stockade instead of killing them. Which in turn, creates an uprising in the stockade. Arn't humans just smart. ("-_-)

This is what they did to the Hogger quest? Kill-stealing PCs and a badly done lead-in to the Stockade? Seriously?!? Thank you, Shamus, for making me glad I don't play this anymore.
