Hmmm...Is Streetlight Manifesto underappreciated? I don't even know anymore.

I do love sitting around with a bunch of people and just bullshitting. I think that is greatly underappreciated.
Streetlight Manifesto may be under appreciated in mainstream music culture but they have a MASSIVE following in the ska, punk and even hardcore scenes.

OT: I've mentioned him many times and I've posted this video at least once on this site (in the last week lol) but goddamn I want everyone to know about

Check out his actual music after this awesome freestyle. It's far less 'rappy'

My penis.

Criminally underappreciated; and with so much to give too...

a few of my favorite musicians, like Nick Cave, Einstuerzende Neubauten, and Amanda Palmer/Dresden Dolls. some seriously brilliant, beautiful stuff, but the only other people i know irl who also enjoy them are my mom, my brother, and my sisters. almost everyone else is like "wtf is this crap?" i know they all have decent followings worldwide, but it's frustrating when almost no one i know locally appreciates them.

i could also add a few TV shows that Fox cancelled prematurely, but typically they weren't under-appreciated, they were just Fox-ed. yeah, that's right, i'm trying to coin a phrase to describe Fox's habit of putting brilliant shows in a death-trap time slot and then cancelling them.

Every time I see your avatar I end up watching it for about 10 minutes on a loop before realizing what is happening.
Anyway Arrested Development, the Persona series in the West, PSP, Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, and undubbed Studio Ghibli films.
Also yay 100th post.

Eggs:

For too long they've been accused of causing cholesterol. People do not always understand that it does, but it raises Good Cholesterol which actually protects your heart and Arteries.

I love eggs, I eat at least 8 a day. Might be too much for most people but eggs are highly nutritious and you should be eating them.
Fun egg related story:

I recycle my egg shells, but over winter the green bin was frozen shut, so i just saved my egg shells up until i could be arsed throw them in.
After the christmas break, my housemate wanted to borrow some chilli powder, and opened my cupboard to find 50 egg shells, all in their original cases. My housemates worry about me now.

OT: Amplifier. They are soon self releasing an album, The Octopus, which has taken them 3 years to complete. And it is incredible:

My answer for this used to be Rise Against (I live in the UK) but as word has spread around my area of their awesomeness, they don't really count.
[small]new album in two months...[/small]
Really? What part of the UK are you from? I'm in the Salisbury area and have known about Rise Against since I was 15 (almost 7 years ago). I would say that nowadays they're not so much under appreciated as overrated. They need to go back to Siren Songs and Revolutions Per Minute. The last album was so awful I lost the will to even utter their name.

Although in saying that I did go and see them on that album tour a few years ago. It would have been better if they'd ignored all the new songs. I'll likely listen to a few new songs on the album and decide that they still suck enough for me to continue grieving about their loss of awesomeness.

*ahem*

Sorry, I didn't mean all that.

Huzzah for Rise Against's new stuff!!!!11!!!1

Doom 3 is one of my favourite games, yet it seems to catch a lot of flak because it wasn't like the originals from the 90's... even though a good sequel/remake is supposed to take the source material and do something different with it which may be interesting in another way, or it serves no real purpose as long as the original exists.

I'm bouncing off of walls over this!
Mind you, I'm not sure about underappreciated.

I'm going to go with Social Distortion. Sure, they're bigger in America, but over this side of the pond they barely get a name drop ever, and they're so ridiculously influential (see above) the deserve more than they get. They're a bit like Thin Lizzy in that respect; both bands are masively influential on their genres but hardly get the love they deserve.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky

After GameFreak finally dies out, it will probably go down in history as the only pokemon game whose story was genuinely moving instead of lame.

Childs, my god, the fact that even Post-Rock fans don't even know about this band is a shame.

Prepare to be transported to a world of dreams.

Make love is a story about Bruce on his first staring role in an A listed movie (Fake, obviously), and If Chins Could Kill is his autobiography/indie film fund-raising suggestions book.

Honestly, that guy is a fantastic writer. Its like he's sitting in the room, talking to you.

That actually looks genuinely interesting, if only because I have no idea what to expect.

I suppose for me it's Baki the Grappler, though the massive mangling of the anime might have something to do with the lack of popularity.
