One of my things is that I love finding relatively unknown bands from Youtube or some other service like that and sharing them with people, so thats what this thread is for. If there's a band you like that isn't very well know or even if you have your own band then post them here for others to hear.

Anyway, I have two band recommendations: Climhazzard and The Epilogues.

This metal band is great. Found them through Youtube a while ago while watching videos of their guitarist, Garret Peters, cover some amazing guitar solos. Here's a few songs.

This alternative rock band is more known than Climhazzard is, but I don't think they get the recognition that they deserve. I found The Epilogues through Black Box TV when a couple of their songs were used in some episodes.

Well there ya go. If you like either of the bands I've posted then please support them (DON'T PIRATE!). If you're interested, I think Climhazzard is still offering their EP as a free download from their myspace page.

So yeah, share your stuff.

By order of the Ugoslavian prime Minister, the People will see this thread!

Also, heres a Greek metal band called Inactive Messiah:
I'm not sure of their popularity in Greece, but I'm pretty sure they're mostly unheard of in the States.

I like it, kinda sounds like a heavier version of Black Stone Cherry.

Fun fact, a friend of my friend went to highschool with BSC. When they came to WI I got to sit and drink with them after a gig for a while.

Anyways if you like the southern theme check out Stampede by them too. The band has a lot of different styles but eventually I learned to love it all.

Riverside. Great progressive rock-metal band from Poland.

Combine a little inspiration from Pink Floyd, Opeth, King Crimson, and Porcupine Tree. I do not know how to link videos, but trust me when I say if you enjoy music you should look them up. They DESERVE fame.

Band I saw and fell in love with playing on a lake at Latitude '09. 10 piece(ish) female orchestra with an operatic Russell Brand as a singer.

Edit: Some other little niché bands I've found over the years:

http://www.myspace.com/mydickband

They take popular songs and change the lyrics to My Dick. It's genius. My personal favourite is changing the line "I check my look in the mirror" from Springsteen's 'Dancing in the Dark' to "I check my dick in the mirror".

Samples farts. Makes decent beats out of them. Makes you go: "Wow.... eew!"

And I'll give a shout out for a friend of a friends band: http://www.myspace.com/gooniesneversaydiemusic

It's genuinely decent Post-Rock.

The Black Rabbits, they have one EP out but it is brilliant and hasn't got many downloads. Get it now on iTunes, it's cheap and worth it!

Thats pretty awesome. I like a lot of the southern style rock/metal stuff like Pantera and Black Stone Cherry. Adding He is Legend to my list and checking out Stampede.

I've never really listened to Reliant K, but I get to go see them this summer at Warped Tour.

That was pretty awesome. I'm a sucker for foreign instruments.

Having Opeth and Porcupine Tree as an influence pretty much solidifies that I'll like them.
For posting videos, the code is like this: [ youtube=*code after equal sign on video url* ] just take out the spaces and it works. I'll post a Riverside video and you can quote this to see the code in text if you need.

This here's a website that has electronic music from local musicians (local if you're from Nebraska at least), and you can download tracks or entire albums for free.

Oh. My. God.
Take me with you. Please. I would fanboy out like a Belieber if I were to see them with my own eyes <3
