Shaun of the Dead Gets the Dead Island Treatment

I had watched the Dead Island trailer when it was poster here earlier, but I had to watch it again before the Shaun of the Dead parody, and I'm glad I did, because man, he did a bang up job.

My favorite part was seeing Dylan Moran get put back together again. Since watching Black Book, and his stand up, I've actually avoided watching SotD because of that scene. Yeah, I know, it's stupid, but there you go.

OT: This was rather good, but I feel that it could have been done better. Maybe that's just me being a perfectionist, but I think it felt a little stitched together.
I'd also have liked for it to have had the forward with audio/slow motion backwards with piano cuts.

In all, I think that this could be an interesting new internet video thing: Various otherwise monotonous video clips in slow motion backwards to slow piano music.

Sean is definitely the most idiotic spelling of the name. No other word beginning with "Se" makes that sound.

It makes perfect sense. I'm sorry you're unfamiliar with the etymology.
I would tell you, but I'm too busy fuming at my insurance company to do so without risking my spotless moderation record.
In a sentence if you feel the burning need to know: It's both the oldest, and the Irish form, it makes sense there go learn it bumface.

my bad, stupid british autocorrect has shaun as not a real word so changed it to shawn.
i would have thought shaun would have been more acceptable as its the irish spelling whereas shawn is the american spelling. but hey.

It is kinda sad, especially that "shoot your own mother" part, but at some points it made me laugh even though the sad music. The expressions on Shauns face are just damn funny.
And yes, it was really nice of those zombies to put all the intestines back in and fix the guy.

Am i the only one who mounrs the lost time and talent when people decide to use their more or less gioven talent to copy stuff or modiefy already created stuff a bit to get attention instead of trying to create something new of their own?

That includes the recent makeovers from (include Pop Culture Object/Subject) into steampunk etc, as video remakes like this or the horrible minecraft version of the Dead island trailer (i didn't even find it a bit funny).

to me that part of the movie was really sad
probably because of how much it contrasted to the rest of the movie
the main guy has to shoot his own mother, leave his best friend behind to die, and you watch a major character get torn apart

there is no reason for it to get this much publicity. it really wasn't anything special.

I was just about to do this with the Left 4 Dead trailer.

"This will give me critical acclaim," I assured myself. "No-one has thought of doing it yet."

...reading these comments and watching this video, though, I can now spend the time I would have used making that video on making something of my life. Like finding a girlfriend. Or inventing a new kind of lightbulb. Or writing sad piano music for use in backwards-trailers.

Funny, but they take the most serious part of the movie, the stuff that was actually sad and dramatic, and then remove all of the dialog that interjected humor. That stuff, even from a comedy movie, is sad even without the backwards stuff and sad music.

Yeah, Shaun of the Dead is such a great movie because it works on so many levels; comedy, drama, romance, etc. And, the movie does all of those elements extremely well that this video was unnecessary as the end of the movie is already really sad and touching.

i said i'm sick of the hype for the trailer and that has caused me to want to avoid the game.
