Naturally. Because something that attracts a lot of people's attention and feedback must be shit by default.
when did i say it was shit?
i said i'm sick of the hype for the trailer and that has caused me to want to avoid the game.
nothing unreasonable about that.
So... other people being too excited for the game (or it's trailer) makes you want to not play the game? Don't see the reason in that, surely you should play a game because you're interested in it, not because of how others feel towards it (it's not like you got an advice saying it's bad or sth)?

I didn't find the Dead Island trailer touching, and I certainly didn't think that this one was, either. When there are zombies included, I find it difficult to take whatever is happening on screen seriously.

Nowhere near as good as the Dead Island trailer.
I hope this doesn't turn into a craze. It would lose all its ingenuity if it did.

This lacked the whole impetus of the Dead Island trailer. Folks want to know why that trailer is so good? And no, it's not just because of Giles Lamb. The trailer is good because it shows a family losing their daughter amidst a crisis and it does it in an inventive way that still manages to tell the story. The reversed footage pulls you in at the start because it takes a moment to understand what's occurring. We're able to piece together the events Memento-style with the normal footage cut in both to punctuate the slow motion and to tell the earlier part of the story in a way that converges on the climax. If you treat the reversed footage normally, it looks as if the family is actually taking their daughter from the room and leaving her to the zombies, despite our knowledge that they were in actuality trying to save her. The events peak when the father appears to let go of his daughter, which makes her loss even more emotional than her actual demise (turning into a zombie and falling out the window). It ends of course with memories of recent happier times, which are particularly effective juxtaposed against the carnage and loss we just saw.

The music is a vital element, to be sure, but you can't just slap it on any recut zombie flick and get the same effect. I love Shaun of the Dead, but this seems to miss the point.

This is pretty good but come on guys, the fact that he/she took the time to do it should be good enough.

I like this.

Wait, doesn't the trailer parody also need sections going foreword in normal time? The whole backwards thing just seemed boring to me by itself.

Meh, it's only a rewind action, where is the forward action? and its not even focused on a single character but lots of characters.

You have no idea how much I want to rip your throat out with my teeth right now.
It's in the title, it's in the name of the video, it's at the end of the video.

But you STILL manage to use the single most idiotic spelling possible.

OT: This was rather good, but I feel that it could have been done better. Maybe that's just me being a perfectionist, but I think it felt a little stitched together.
I'd also have liked for it to have had the forward with audio/slow motion backwards with piano cuts.

In all, I think that this could be an interesting new internet video thing: Various otherwise monotonous video clips in slow motion backwards to slow piano music.
Sean is definitely the most idiotic spelling of the name. No other word beginning with "Se" makes that sound.

And, yeah, I only quoted you because I saw that your name was Sean. : /
It makes perfect sense. I'm sorry you're unfamiliar with the etymology.
I would tell you, but I'm too busy fuming at my insurance company to do so without risking my spotless moderation record.
In a sentence if you feel the burning need to know: It's both the oldest, and the Irish form, it makes sense there go learn it bumface.
Where's the fada then?

It's Seán. :p

But Sean Connery spells his name that way, so I guess it's cool...

Love Shaun of the Dead.

So I almost cried.

I should probably stop saying that so much. Makes me sound less manly.

Hmm, how very pretentious of you.
Lol don't mean to be offensive, but it does seem pretty wanky to avoid a game just because said game has a lot of attention around it.

you dont have to accept my reasoning, although i do see your point.

you ever see an advert on tv so many times you get sick of it and dont want anything to do with it or the product it advertises?

same deal here.

I guess I can understand that, tho I'll always try the product first before I decide to hate it.

Meh, it certainly does give you that 'Depressing' and 'Dramatic' flow that the 'Dead Island' trailer had going on. However I found that it was just so out of place and failed to really convince me through it's conveyed message that 'Any' zombie subject could be made heart wrenching by giving it a 'Dead Island' makeover. I applaud the editing and idea behind the video, but I just wasn't feeling any sort of emotion compared to the 'Dead Island' trailer.
