As a teenager I wouldn't go out with a younger lad due to the huge gap that comes between August and september (thank you school years) and the immaturity that goes with it. Guys and gals above the age of 22 i think are entitled to anyone over the age of 22 (perhaps below 49)but if a 17 year old guy went out with a 15 year old girl I'd find that excessively creepy.

So I've been asking around and the general consensus between high school sophmores is something between 6th grade and 14 yrs old.

So my question to you is how old are you and when is she (or he) too young for you?
Also when is she too young for a 15-16 yr old spophmore? What about as you get older and how it changes? For example, a 15 yr old guy hitting on a 18 yr old girl doesn't seem that weird, but a 15 yr old guy hitting on a 12 year old probably (did I spell that right?) be frowned upon.

I expect some of you to have very diverse opinions.

As long as there's no problem with the law and a person's body is fully developed, any age difference is OK.

By the way, who came up with the dumb 1/2 + 7 rule and why are so many people accepting it?

I'm 23, 18 may be the lower limit, if not 17. As for relationships they may be too young, 20+ is the ideal age there.

I'm 41. Personally, I'd think anyone below 30 is probably too young for me. We'd be doing just fine and then I'd get a question like "who are the Eagles" and I'd be all "jesus christ, where's my fucking geritol?"

I've dated younger guys before, and when I was in my teens it was ok, but now I'm 22 and I just can't date a guy under the age of 21 anymore. Not out of morals or anything, I'm just tired of all the immaturity, not to mention I'd like to go out somewhere and get drinks with my guy.

Well I'm 19 and 16 being the legal age over here I'd say the age gap isn't too large at that point, so I'd say that. Any lower and it would creepy...also illegal which is somewhat more troublesome.

I dunno, as 19 i wouldn't go below 18 because of the simple fact that they would be kids and i would be a semi-creepy half-adult.

A fuckton of things happen in those few years, especially if you start working and shit. For women i'd date in public the upper limit would be set around 25. Mostly because it would get kinda akward otherwise.

But make no mistake, i would have absolutely no qualms about having sex with a woman in her 30's or 40's if she looked good. Dating her in public would just be terribly weird though.

Man up! If you aren't grown up enough to be seen with her in public you don't deserve to be with her.

Since it's a hypothetical scenario its not something i can man up for.

I still stand by my point though, having an actual relationship with someone that age wouldn't work. The life situations wouldnt mesh at all and outside influences would be grating to say the least.
