Yea maybe I just don't understand Dota yet, but from what I've seen the global or OP range skills like Pudge's grab and anything shot from Sniper seem game breaking. Maybe there is better mobility to avoid these? The game looks faster paced, especially in the early game for sure, but these moves look cheap mechanically. Especially when I read about stuff like Clockworks rocket with a global range. And least Karthas had a channel and insane cooldown for his global ability, with Clockwork you could hypothetically kill anyone below a certain amount of health. Like an infinite range Darius ult.
Besides these seemingly broken mechanics it might be more fun, but who knows.
Rule of thumb, but anyone that sticks around that long in lane on low HP when there is a global ult on the opposing team deserves to die.
OT: I play DOTA 2 primarily but I still play LoL from time to time just because pubstomping with Fizz is so fun. For me, DOTA is more rewarding, there's more things to think about, hero and item design is more varied, skills are more impactful, the game is faster paced, and most importantly, the meta isn't written in fucking stone. It's perfectly normal to have no jungler, or run a duo mid or tri-lane bot, or just spend the game roaming from lane to lane picking up kills. LoL's meta is so stagnant at this point that I doubt it will ever change. Just play whatever you enjoy, I've probably put thousands of hours into LoL but after a while I just got bored and moved to DOTA.
