Hello out there Escapians. (Honestly I think that fit's)

I am now in the process of creating an Escapist FPS, by now it is pretty obvious I have a lot of time on my hands, and I require your input.

There is to be a 5 man team of Escapist posters in this game and the player controls all of them one at a time.

What I require from you is this...

*The 5. Who would be the best in this game and why. I currently have

• -Ultrajoe
  -Iron Ninja
  -PurpleRain
  -NewClassic
  -Khell Sennet

But if you have any others that may work better and can convince me otherwise I may change it.

*NPC's
I do have a few NPC's sorted but would like suggestions on more. Preferably ones that people know are around. Crimson5Pheonix, Xitel, Hey Joe, Wilsonscrazybed, Root_of_all_evil etc etc.

*The Settings.

I am currently Thinking a central hub (www.escapistmagazine.com) with rooms extending into each of the different forums. Including the secret one.

I am also thinking of using the Themis Media offices as the second to last level (Final level being the final boss fight)

*Plot. I already have a plot sorted and am fleshing it out as you type but any input would help.

I am using the Engine of an FPS one of my associates has made. I do plan to smooth some things out and add a few more mechanics myself but if you would like to get a gameplay demo (very rough gameplay that will probably be changed quite a bit by the end product.) you can find it here: http://agw.org.nz/?p=29

PS: For the people I use in this game I will have to ask a favour and record me some voice clips. You don't have to if you don't want to it would just make the game a lot cooler.

NewClassic - Yes I realise that this is being done by you in RPG form but I am taking this in a completely different direction (I hope)

You're fine. The RPG and this FPS are different enough. I'm fine with this project.

And the character selection is perfect. Don't change a single name. Especially not the fourth person on the list.

Well, I suppose he could put galletea into the NPCs. She seems to be gaining popularity.

Perhaps Labyrinth, she has a cool hat, and an emblem these days I believe.

Erm. Me.

.. because I have my own rifle. I can actually shoot guns. And I have a motorcycle, thus I'm cool². Also I'm blonde, which should result in some hilarious moments. Also I have a cheesy smile, which I can use to get out of nasty situations. The possibilities!

Girls to replace someone... Probably khell because he doesn't really have any obvious weapons... though he could be useful as a distractor (EG: Porn on the ground. )

Those are the ones I would probably use.

I KNOW!!! A changeable roster. That you can use depending on different circumstances. There will have to be clues about which one to use though. Like the screen things in Portal

Did you expect anything more?
You did ask for suggestions for NPCs, after all.
As for plot, you can't go wrong with a badass rival character (or five, given the makeup of the playable cast) who's always one step ahead of the rest. A recurring foe, so to speak. You really can not go wrong with one, they are always awesome.
Sorry to push this so hard, but every game I've ever played that has such a character has been better for it. The Black Knight from Fire Emblem, the rivals in the Pokemon games, Dark Samus, Dark Link, Wolf, Meta Knight, Llednar Twem in FF:Tactics Advance, etc. etc.
